Not Leaving Just Up-skilling

Hi guys, I’ve not been around a lot, I figured that if I was really going to migrate out of here it was high time I acquired some new skill that could probably be of use along the way besides crypto as most of you know I’ve been living purely on crypto for over 4 years now but I’m in Nigeria and can afford to be that frugal. It’ll definitely cost me more in another place.

I’ve had some experience in networking during my degree years, I’m coupling that with classes on Udemy, I’m giving myself 4weeks to finish this particular course and write CCNA exam, then probably watch a couple of videos on YouTube to see more, I started a week ago, I should be close to 50% done by this weekend.

It’s been cool, but what’s been so difficult is keeping my habits at bay, damn I never thought I’ll be getting to that point where I have to put down doing Hive to focus on something else, Hive is super addicting, social media, crypto-ing, mhn, its super hard to keep them at bay when it’s something you’ve been doing everyday for over 4 years..…..when it’s something that has become a part of you. when it’s something this wild crazy!

Anyway, along the line I figured that I have to treat being here like every other addiction, by not outright cutting it out, rather prioritize the time for each in their order of importance, studying and getting that certificate is major priority at the moment, allocate more time to that, it’s not like I can keep checking charts at bay whooohoo I’m not that rich yet,..maybe sometime in-some-not-so distant future, I’d have built 1m in HBD, then I can comfortably go on a vacation and splurge with some other investments.

But until then…….

So Hive and HBD pumped and I was liquid to ride them both! sweet! I wouldn’t call myself a trader lol, it’s more of….positioning, I really just try my best to position myself in the safest best bets. If when I migrate, I can use these normie jobs to pay bills and raise cash to increase my liquidity and increase my positions, I can definitely pull off an early retirement with what I already know in this space.

This is one thing I’m grateful for of all my years surviving in this country, getting to discover this space and it’s entirety. Crypto is super interesting, Hive even makes it like mega interesting, and you’re telling me I have to allocate less time to it, it doesn’t even help that my birthday is on the 30th and it’ll be nice to have more funds than usual.

Speaking of my birthday, I’ll be opening one Splinterlands pack everyday until my birthday 🥳 wish me luck. So yeah, I won’t be around as much, for the next couple of weeks, let’s bag this paper(certificate not money lol).!!!

Okay, let’s get back to this Udemy class as I struggle to understand this guys Polish accent with horrible network that is making the video hang every 5mins. 🤟

GoodLuck on this one bro. This extra effort is what we all need to make in our learning journey in order to increase our source of income.

Relocating is a sure thing. I really tried so hard to do that within the first half of this year but Embassy messed up my plans. Paused for now and rebuilding for the future.

I wish you well on this solid plan of yours. Of course, Hive also has to be in the big picture so, check-in whenever you are free.

Taking breaks can be helpful, especially when you are trying to learn a new skill. I took almost a 2-month break and it really helped me clear my head and see where I am going.

You'll get through it. Good luck and have fun.

Good luck with that man. Personally, I don't have strength to fully learn a new skill. The best I can do is a paid internship abroad but anything else, I'll pass.

I feel you. The importance of building an "organic" portfolio is important, asides earning money.
It helps with integration, especially as regards immigration, entering into the 'job worskspace' and positioning oneself for future opportunities.
