Thoughts on the state of Splinterlands Assets

I woke up this morning to the thoughts of selling few cards from Splinterlands, seeing the pattern of the market in attempt to capture some value from the declining state. But I had to ask myself, if the general market sentiment was not bearish, will Splinterlands assets still have declining prices?

I absolutely think so. Right now, it seems like Splinterlands economy is reacting to the general market sentiments and hence the declining asset prices. However, while some market factors could be legitimately responsible for the prices of assets, I think, this decline is due to technical consolidation.

What do I mean? Chaos Legion. CL is majorly responsible for the decline in price of Splinterlands assets. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it because these days of “number go down” are numbered.

I love what’s currently happening especially with Splinterlands market, once again Splinterlands is being placed on a pedestal, the world is watching, some are saying the game is dead, but most don’t know about the mechanics of Splinterlands, the deflationary economics of the cards, Splinterlands will show the world just why it’s the best TCG ever on blockchain.

The market is currently absorbing the addition of new cards being dumped on it as CL packs are opened. As soon as public sale goes full swing, it should be expected that even more cards will flood the market and more price will drop as sellers compete to out sell each other.

While this is happening on the market,...internally, cards are being taken out of circulation as players combine their cards to make them stronger, or burn them to get DEC, reducing their total supply. It took only a fraction of the present number of users currently playing Splinterlands to swallow up the Untamed cards through burns and upgrades,

As sellers out sell each other, the barrier to entry stemmed from pricey cards is reduced, cards are automatically cheaper to acquire, and also cheaper to upgrade, and if we think about it, adding up the number of cards that will be likely taken out of circulation in this manner, it will be in millions.

Think about it, it’s the only way, and can be accomplished even with half the present user base, over time. If you’re FUD-ing right now and selling off thinking it’s over, sorry I can’t help you, I can’t help but see the mooning that happened in 2021 happening again.

So that’s about packs, how about SPS? DEC...uhm, with the rate at which people are using both DEC and SPS to buy CL packs, what did you expect? Blame Chaos Legion, it’s called Chaos for a reason, maybe it’s not the Chaos many were expecting 🤷‍♂️

Couple that with the fact that DEC and SPS are paired to tokens that have lost over 20% of their value and that are paired to other tokens that have lost more than 20% of their value, what did anyone expect. Markets have to market.

So, ultimately, this is the accumulation period for me, what happened in 2021 will happen again, I’m certain of that, the only difference is that, this time I will hold every card I get rather than take them on burning spree as I did last time. I can’t wait for the public sale to go full swing, let’s get this thing started.

What are your views on Splinterlands these days? I’ll be shooting my first Splinterlands vlog tomorrow, so you see the face in this poster below, you’ll be seeing more of that often.

I think I'm the only one who is not playing this Splinterland games. Well, I don't like games but I'd be glad if you could coach me.

Can't wait to see that face more often.

The decline in my Splinterlands assets has been bugging my brain for a while but I kinda had a feeling the Chaos legion was a major cause. I mean the decline in the value of DEC began a while before Hive began to drop so, it's pretty obvious, I guess. Also, I came to understand that when Hive falls, DEC rises. I don't know how well that works but it has been the case for a couple of months now.

I'm somewhat confident that after the general sale we'll be rich once again.

Yes, the declining prices of cards is giving players opportunity to increase their collection power. My eyes are on cheap epic and legendary cards.
