To build existing deck of SPL Cards or to keep buying CL packs?
I just had an interesting battle session with @joetunex, we challenged ourselves during the past week for a 3 round battle and I put $10 on the line for fun, to be honest, it’s been a while I got that much pump in my heart beat during an actual Splinterlands battle, heck I haven’t even been playing at all for months now.
The first time I was paired against Joe in battle was very unexpected and intense battle that I happened to win, so he’d always wanted to get back at me. Unfortunately for me, He, on the other hand has been playing and kicking ass in the gold level up until date, he brought the challenge and came prepared. He won the first battle.
And I won the other 2, lol, the last 3rd battle was the most interesting, Joe brought a Zaku to battle, I really thought I’d lost!!!! But to my surprise I was able to last till the end of the battle. Check out the battle in this link.
it was really fun while it lasted, one thing was clear, Joe had spent some energy building up his deck, my deck is still 2020-2021 styled, if I’m going to get back into playing full time, I’d need to spend some resources upgrading my deck. So I asked for another round, Joe, who couldn’t wait to lay his hands on me was up for it.
So it happened that I should have just walked away because I ended up getting my ass kicked 3-0. Safe to say, Joe redeemed himself from the lost battle. The battle was fun and interesting, it gave me an introspective look into what my deck looked like in the grand scheme of things and what I needed to do.
My focus, which has been on acquiring CL packs needs to shift to building my deck, popping packs open is super addictive, I just need to get hold of that legendary dragon I’ve wanted so badly and it might be in the next pack I open, you get the feelin! Ahyayai….look at me! This is how I struggle everyday between opening packs and buying cards from the market.
Anyway, if anyone is thinking of facing off with Joetunex in battle, take heed, he has some bad ass cards, he will smile till he kicks your ass, not mine though, my success story for the battle was that I got to keep my $10 Hehe. Better try next time buddy.
Battle till you drop! See you around.

Splinterlands game is fun as always and this time it's time to build. Seems like you have acquired good number of cl packs and yes deck is important too.
Splinterlands is just way too addictive, it is great having a game so addictive and pays for playing. I am just looking for ways to upgrade my deck without interfering with my HP and HBD growth.

I get you bro. If you can find external ways to fund your deck, that will be great, otherwise you might have to make sacrifices, if it turns out you were right, it will pay off. That’s just how I see it

True, the dilemma of asset management is getting tougher as the opportunities on Hive expand. GSL is on the horizon, I need funds for that when it launches...

I’m targeting 500 packs, but I’ve peakd at 100, because any time I get more than 100 packs, I open them till I’m back at 100 again.
It’s time to focus on my deck

Lol, it was a cool session we had bro. My heart was pumping as I try to get back at you. I was so happy when you asked for another 3 rounds.
On a serious note though we need deck building the game has been competitive to the extreme every won battle has to be from both strategic and strength of cards with some luck.
Cheers bro!

Dear @mistakili,
May I ask you to review and support the Dev Marketing Proposal (https://peakd.com/me/proposals/232) we presented on Conference Day 1 at HiveFest?
The campaign aims to onboard new application developers to grow our ecosystem. If you missed the presentation, you can watch it on YouTube.

Thank you!
It's amazing how there are projects like Splinterlands that allow stakeholders to increase their bags while engaging and getting deeper into the ecosystem, the perfect example is Hive and Leo Finance but SPL is also doing a terrific job at this!
Great post and congrats on getting a decentralized curation vote this past week, keep this kind of posts coming!
