El "tió" es un personaje navideño de la imagenología catalana. Es muy importante para los niños, pues es el encargado de traer juguetes, turrones y chucherías navideñas. No lo he visto en otras regiones. Como ven, es un tronco. Éste lleva una especie de cobertor y una gorrita, para protegerlo del frío de la época. También lleva una mascarilla porque aún estamos en tiempos del Covid.

El tió de la fotografía está estratégicamente colocado al lado del árbol de Navidad y el parque infantil y, a sus espaldas, se encuentra el súper mercado que en esta época del año despliega sus estanterías con dulces navideños, justo hacia la entrada. Cuando tomé las fotografías debí esperar, porque se acercaron dos niños a hablar al tió. La niña con mucho cariño le arregló la mascarilla y la gorrita que el viento casi le había casi arrebatado. De la misma forma en que los pequeñines de otras regiones piden sus regalos a San Nicolás.
