Hive vs Bitcoin!? Yes Really
I noticed something very interesting a couple of days ago and decided to track it for a few days to see if it was an anomaly? It wasn't.
The chart below shows something quite remarkable and something I've never seen before... because I wasn't looking.

You see that 476.1% increase in price? (bottom right) that is price growth in #Hive in the last year. (28 Jan 2022)
The second chart below shows Bitcoin price growth over the same period.
Bitcoin price grew by just 8.1%. So what can we deduce from this?
Apart from the absolutely gigantic price gap between between these two tokens and the total market dominance of Bitcoin.
From a business point of view Hive is much more dynamic in terms of growth and development.
Bitcoin is Bitcoin in terms of development in the sense that the protocol is fixed and all future development is happening on second layer side chains. It is mature.
Hive is the base from which many projects spring either using the hive token (@peakd) or creating projects with their own second layer tokens like @leofinance #leo #wleo and @splinterlands #dec etc
These second layer tokens can have added functionalities.
The speed of development on Hive is astonishing and comparison to Bitcoin is unfair as is the speed of the Hive blockchain compared to Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is like a single engined aircraft whereas Hive is closer to a rocket.
Bitcoin is more than twice the age of Hive and as is the case in many technology fields.
Later entrants leapfrog the earlier technology.
This kind of growth in price of Hive year on year is exponential.
Just think about that for a minute?
In five years time Hive could easily be priced at $16 each.
Daily, weekly and monthly price action is irrelevant unless you are day trading.
Trading in Hive is instant and virtually free.
Try sending some tokens to someone and see the difference in speed and costs. There is no competition.
Hive is virtually instant and free.
Bitcoin depending on trading conditions is expensive and slow unless you use the lightning network which is another second layer that Hive annihilates.
Bitcoin is the de facto face of cryptocurrencies. Everyone has heard of it.
Hive is the new kid on the block and it's kicking butt.

At some point $HIVE had over 1000% growth over a year! I think things will really take off when it gets more exposure and people realise how powerful this platform is. People are tolerating expensive transactions elsewhere when they could be free. I'll keep on pushing it. I've signed up a couple of friends just recently. We need more good people on board.

Hi Steve, yep I saw that 1000%+ signal and started tracking it. Even with that big pullback it is still at almost 900% year on year consistently.
This is very good news for the long term.
Maybe this is the 'USP' that we need to be broadcasting to the public instead of trying to sign up people by offering them a chance of earning some crypto?
New slogan.
This simple mantra can be understood by everyone and shows a unique use case for $Hive
Instead of trying to get people creating content which few can do effectively.
Instead get them using it purely for money exchange purposes globally.
I have spoken to a couple of people in the last weeks that needed to move money abroad using a regular bank and it turned into a four day ordeal.
Absurdity beyond belief.
I was baffled by the way that they knew my suggestion to use crypto was the best option. They still went through the bank!?

It will be interesting to see if more people use crypto to move money across borders. Just need a way to get local fiat.
Those tiny vote bots were around a while back. It's just a desperate cry for attention.

I read recently that people in Venezuela are spending bitcoin using the lightning network for daily basic things like getting a coffee and other micropayments.
Any country with inflation could benefit from using a stable coin like HBD. Only converting it when needed.
The time is coming soon when everyone will see the advantages offered by cryptocurrency. 🤯👍

For me, it is always better to invest in low cap tokens that investing in coins with big market cap and adoption already. That is to say that investing in a growing project may result in a higher ROI than investing in a project that's already grown.

Hi Tomlee, that's a good strategy. For me Hive is a far superior product than 95% of tokens that promise the earth and deliver nothing.
We already have a thriving and proven economic system that gets stronger everyday.
To be as unbiased as possible try doing this little thought experiment.
Knowing what you know now. Would you invest in Hive?
The answer from me is Yes 100%
In the last 5 years I have more than 20X my initial investment and met some awesome people in the process. 💲💰👍
One hundred percent! I'm already investing not just money but investing my time as well. Hive is indeed a great and promising projects to invest in. Day by day, we see developments and growths both on the first layer and at the second layer level as well.
Likewise, I have made a lots of profits off Hive!
