I am happy to participate in this community and this is my entry. When I saw the publication that was about spring where flowers are the protagonists, I got excited and said to investigate in my mind that it would be ideal. Minutes passed when I suddenly thought of making the design of some brooches, I had this idea some time ago, but did not consolidate it, until @blanca56 made me the invitation, then I was encouraged and yesterday I gathered the materials and proceeded to execute the project between my household chores. Here are the details of the process.

Cuando vi la publicación que se trataba de la primavera donde las flores son las protagonistas, me ilusioné y dije indagar en mi mente que sería ideal. Pasaron minutos cuando repentinamente pensé en realizar el diseño de unos broches, hace tiempo tenía esta idea, pero no la consolidaba, hasta que @blanca56 me hizo la invitación, entonces me animé y el día de ayer reuní los materiales y procedí a ejecutar el proyecto entre mis quehaceres del hogar. Paso a dar detalles del proceso.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
Red and white fabric scraps.
- Sewing thread.
- Sewing needle.
- Scissors.
- Pins.
- Silicone.
- Sequins.
- Beads.
- 02 hooks.
- Red and white felt.
- 02 Molds of a square 5x5 cm. and 7x7 cm.
- Retazos de tela color rojo y blanco.
- Hilo de coser.
- Aguja de coser.
- Tijera.
- Alfileres.
- Silicón.
- Lentejuelas.
- Mostacillas.
- 02 ganchos.
- Fieltro color rojo y blanco.
- 02 Moldes de un cuadrado 5x5 cm. y 7x7 cm.
Process//Proceso:
Red flower.
Step 1
- Fold the fabric in several parts until you get a square.
- I placed the 5x5 mold with pins.
- I hold it firmly with my hands.
- And with the scissors I proceed to cut the edges.
Flor color rojo.
Paso 1
- Doble la tela en varias partes hasta obtener un cuadrado.
- Coloqué el molde 5x5 con alfileres.
- Sostengo fijamente con mis manos.
- Y con la tijera procedo a cortar las orillas.
Step 2
- I get 8 squares that will be the small petals.
- These squares are folded diagonally, I insert a pin to hold the fabric, as it is very thin.
Paso 2
- Obtengo 8 cuadrados que serán los pétalos pequeños.
- Estos cuadrados se doblan en diagonal, inserto un alfiler para sujetar la tela, ya que es muy fina.
Step 3
- I proceed to make a few stitches with the needle and sewing thread, joining one by one. Three petals, first, I make a uniform gathering and close with knot.
- I do the same with the remaining 5 petals.
Paso 3
- Procedo a hacer unos pespuntes con la aguja e hilo de coser, uniendo uno a uno. Tres pétalos, primero, hago un fruncido uniforme y cierro con nudo.
- Hago lo mismo con 5 pétalos restantes.
Repeat step 1 with mold 7x7 cms.
I proceed to make some backstitches with the needle and sewing thread, joining one by one. Three petals, first, I make a uniform gathering and close with a knot.
I do the same with the remaining 6 petals.(Total 14 petals).
Repetir paso 1 con molde 7x7 cms.
Procedo a hacer unos pespuntes con la aguja e hilo de coser, uniendo uno a uno. Tres pétalos, primero, hago un fruncido uniforme y cierro con nudo.
Hago lo mismo con 6 pétalos restantes. (Total 14 pétalos).
Assembly//Ensamblado:
Center of the flower
- Make two circles, stitch the edges of each one.
- Reduce, fill and close them to form spheres.
- Sew 5 sequins and beads to each sphere.
- These sequin spheres are attached with silicone in the center of both flowers.
Centro de la flor
- Se hacen dos círculos, se hace pespunte en las orillas en cada uno.
- Se reduce, se rellenan y se cierran formando unas esferas.
- Se le cosen 5 lentejuelas y mostacillas a cada esfera.
- Estas esferas de lentejuelas se adhieren con silicón en el centro de ambas flores.
Brooches
- Make two circles of red and white felt and glue them to each flower.
- Glue the hooks on both flowers.
- For the final attachment of the hook, a small piece of felt is glued to each one with silicone.
Broches
- Se hacen dos círculos de fieltro color rojo y blanco y se pegan a cada flor.
- Allí se adhieren con pegamento los ganchos en ambos flores.
- Para el fijado final del gancho se le pega con silicón sobre él un pequeño trozo de fieltro a cada uno.
White flower
Repeat the previous process Step 1 to make the white flower.
I obtain 11 squares 5x5 cms.
I proceed to make a few stitches with the needle and sewing thread, joining one by one. Five petals, first, I make a uniform gathering and close with a knot.
I do the same with the remaining 6 petals.
Flor color blanco
- Repito el proceso anterior Paso 1 para hacer la flor color blanco.
- Se obtienen 11 cuadrados 5x5 cms.
- Procedo a hacer unos pespuntes con la aguja e hilo de coser, uniendo uno a uno. Cinco pétalos, primero, hago un fruncido uniforme y cierro con nudo.
- Hago lo mismo con 6 pétalos restantes.
- Repetir paso 1 con molde 7x7 cms.
- Procedo a hacer unos pespuntes con la aguja e hilo de coser, uniendo uno a uno. Cinco pétalos, primero, hago un fruncido uniforme y cierro con nudo.
- Repetir paso 2 y 3.

Siempre he sido fan de las manualidades estas flores me hacen recordar mi adolescencia, en esa epoca creaba muchas coletas con estas flores y las vendía en el liceo, fue una idea comercial bastante buena ajaja, gracias por compartir.
