[ENG-SPA] St. Nicholas🎅 crochet // San Nicolas🎅 a crochet

Today I am pleased to share that cute Christmas project. Santa Claus or Saint Nicholas🎅 is a relevant figure in this holiday. His white and red colors make Christmas reflect a lot of joy. I made this project for an entrepreneur who wants to give this Santa as a souvenir to his customers. The fabric is a mixture of yarn, wick and crochet. Without further ado, here is a brief explanation.

Hoy tengo el gusto de compartir ese lindo proyecto navideño. Santa Claus o San Nicolás🎅 es una figura relevante en esta festividad. Sus colores blanco y rojo hacen que la navidad refleje mucha alegría. Este proyecto lo realizo para un emprendedor que desea obsequiar este Santa como souvenir a sus clientes. El tejido tiene una mezcla de hilo, pabilo y crochet. Sin más preámbulos pasamos a dar una breve explicación.

Step by step//Paso a paso.

Materials//Materiales:

• Red wick thread.
• White colored wick yarn.
• Beige crochet thread.
• 05 pearls.
• 10 black beads.
• 05 orange beads.
• 50 cms of golden thread.
• Silicone.
• Needle and sewing thread.

• Hilo pabilo color rojo.
• Hilo pabilo color blanco.
• Hilo crochet color beige.
• 05 perlas.
• 10 mostacillas color negro.
• 05 mostacillas color naranja.
• 50 cms de hilo dorado.
• Silicón.
• Aguja e hilo de coser.

Abbreviations//Abreviaciones:

Ch: chain(s).
mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
aum: increases.
pa: high point.
pr: slipped stitch.

Ch: cadena(s).
mp: medio punto.
mpa: medio punto alto.
aum: aumento.
pa: punto alto.
pr: punto deslizado.

Process//Proceso:

• v1: Make a magic ring.
• v2: Mount on the ring make 3 Chs, 11pa, add the beige yarn, make 12pa, pr and close.

• v1: Hacer un anillo mágico.
• v2: Montar en el anillo hacer 3 Chs, 11pa, agregar el hilo color beige, hacer 12pa, pr y cerrar.

• v3: Make 2 Chs, mp all the way round white and pr.

• v3: Hacer 2 Chs, mp en toda la vuelta color blanco y pr.

• v4: Make beard: Only the white part. 3 Chs, return in first ch, mp, 3Chs, return to first Ch, mp, repeat sequence all the way around, pr.

• v4: Hacer la barba: Sólo la parte blanca. 3 Chs, devolver en la primera ch, mp, 3Chs, devolver a la primera Ch, mp, repetir secuencia toda la vuelta, pr.

Assembly//Ensamblado:

Make the red cap:

• v5: Add the red yarn. Make 2chs, skip a stitch, 8 mp, turn knit.
• v6, v10: repeat v5 decrease in each row.

Hacer el gorro rojo:

• v5: Agregar el hilo color rojo. Hacer 2chs, saltar un punto, 8 mp, girar tejido.
• v6, v10: repetir v5 disminución en cada vuelta.

• Knot and cut thread.
• Sew the pearl on the hat.
• Sew the orange bead (the nose).
• Also sew the 2 black beads (eyes).
• Cut 10 cm of golden thread (handle).
• Glue the golden thread with silicone.

• Se anuda y corta hilo.
• Se cose la perla en el gorrito.
• Se cose la mostacilla color naranja (la nariz).
• También se cose las 2 mostacillas color negro (ojos).
• Se cortan 10cms de hilo dorado. (asa).
• Con silicón se pega el hilo dorado.

I liked the result of this work. As you know that for me knitting is a passion and it comes together with the month of December, which is important and beautiful because it celebrates the birth of the baby Jesus. So the project satisfies me enormously. Although I also love its gastronomy, the ham bread and the delicious hallacas.

El resultado de esta labor me gustó. Como ustedes saben que para mí tejer es una pasión y se junta con el mes de diciembre, el cual es importante y hermoso por celebrarse el nacimiento del niño Jesús. Entonces el proyecto me satisface enormemente. Aunque también me encanta su gastronomía, el pan de jamón y las deliciosas hallacas.

The order of the entrepreneur is 12 pieces, this is the first part (5), which will be shown and if you like it I will continue with the other part. I hope it will satisfy him to conclude this nice project. I must also buy more red, white, green thread and beads to continue making Christmas figures.

El pedido del emprendedor es de 12 piezas, esta es la primera parte (5), la cual será mostrada y si le gusta continúo con la otra parte. Espero que le satisfaga para concluir este lindo proyecto. También debo comprar más hilo de color rojo, blanco, verde y mostacillas para seguir realizado figuras navideñas.

Also this figure woven following the tutorial can be used to decorate trees, wreaths, on hooks, for hair, for headbands and as a souvenir, it is easy and economical.

También esta figura tejida siguiendo el tutorial sirve para decorar arbolitos, coronas, en ganchos, para el cabello, para cintillos y como souvenir, es fácil y económico.
