5 Reasons To Buy Genesis League Goals Card Packs

Genesis League Goals(GNG) card packs went on sale last week. I bought 100 pieces on the first day. Sales didn't go as well as Splinterlands cards. For now, only 204k packs have been sold. The Splinterlands team has set the bar so high that selling 204k packs during the bear season does not cause enthusiasm in the community.

After the purchase, I wondered if I had done it right and decided to research the subject thoroughly. It turns out that GNG card packs provide additional advantages I was unaware of before. When I wrote down the benefits, it looked impressive. That's why I decided to write this article.

Card Packs Are Key To The Game

Football manager is one of the categories that I have enjoyed the most while playing. My managerial career, which started on the Commodore 64, now continues on the mobile phone after 40 years.

By purchasing 100 packs, I have the license required to win prizes in the game. Also, thanks to this purchase, I will be able to play the closed Beta version of the game.

If we buy 100 packs, we receive ten packs as a gift. Since there are 5 cards in each pack, I will have 550 cards. I guess these cards will be enough to compete with opponents in the game in the first stage.

Experience of the Splinterlands Team

I think Genesis League Sports is a promising project. The mainstay of my belief is that the Splinterlands team has nearly five years of play-to-earn experience. The success of the Splinterlands project is evident, and there is no reason why this success should not be repeated in Genesis League Sports.

The token economy is the most vital aspect of Splinterlands. The token economy design makes sustainability possible because multiple tokens and NFTs support each other's value. I believe that GNG Card Packs will also benefit from these design principles.

GLX Rewards of Card Packs

The fastest Web3 adaptation takes place in the entertainment field. We are all aware of the rapid transformation of digital games and digital art. Coins related to sports like Chiliz and StepN were among this year's rising stars. We should not forget successful NFT projects such as NBA Top Shots.

The Presale-1 for GNG Card Packs will continue until mid-January, with a total of 500 thousand sales. When Presale-1 is over, 7.5 million GLX will be distributed to package owners in return for staking. I think GLX, the management token of the Genesis League ecosystem, has as much potential as SPS.

Proof-of-Play Feature

GLG cards will become powerful as we play. This mechanism makes it attractive to own the cards instead of renting them. It will also be possible to upgrade cards by merging or training.

On the other hand, the synergy principle in the game also makes it necessary to have many cards.

Increased Price in the New Year and Limited Quantity

The package price, which was $5 in Presale-1, will increase to $10 at the end of January. A total of 8.5 million cards will be sold. All unsold cards will be destroyed by the end of 2023. In Splinterlands card packs, this mechanism increased the price of early card packs over the years.

Conclusion

The first project of the Genesis League Sports(GLS) ecosystem took place within American Football League. The Splinterlands team's agreement with the MLS Player Association made this project possible.

If the Genesis League Goal project is successful, GLS DAO may enter into agreements with American leagues in other sports branches or football leagues worldwide. These potential agreements could cause the value of GLX, the management token of GLS, to rise dramatically.

What if the project does not yield financially promising results? Of course, there is such a possibility, albeit low. The pleasure of playing a game I love in such a scenario would be a consolation prize.

Thank you for reading.

There's just too much I already can't afford to buy within the Splinterlands game that I can't really justify spending money on a football/soccer game. I'm looking forward to getting some of the airdrops related to the game for holding SPS, but I'll likely sell it and invest it in Splinterlands. It could be a foolish move since football is more popular than trading card games like Splinterlands, but I'm just not interested in football/soccer.
