[Live] Back After Over a Week Away

Hello Everyone! The last time I was here was on the 15th to spin the prize wheel for the winner of the mug. And I mentioned that I would be stepping away for the week. Well it turned out to be more than a week. And I feel like I have been gone too long. Don't get me wrong. I am glad I was able to be present for my family and the Celebration of My mom's life turned out really nice. I can tell you that was more in person socializing than I have done in a long time. We had something going on from the day after my two sisters from Los Angeles arrived until pretty much last Sunday. I actually took a couple of days to recover from all of it.
We had the gathering because when Mom passed away last year COVID-19 restrictions prevented us from having a luncheon after her funeral and burial. So this last Saturday, we had a celebration in her honor in the backyard at our family home. A lot of emotions going on there.
In the next month we will be moving into the house where I was raised to help Dad and be around to keep him company. The nice thing about this move is that it will be our last one because our plan is to buy the house and stay there. And we have been able to do it little by little each day over the course of several months. No waiting till the last few days to pack up.
