Hello Everyone,

Welcome to this week's Ecency Discord Posting Topic.

Going for regular walks is a pastime that many people enjoy for leisure and also to help keep fit. On Hive we even have a community that posts on Wednesdays where many walkers gather. There are also many people using Actifit to record their daily walks.

When I think of walking, I am often reminded of the song by Nancy Sinatra:

I like to do walks to nice parks or peaks that give great views. Some of my favorite walks are along coast lines or on a beach. There is something relaxing about hearing the tide come in as you walk. It is also nice to stop during a walk in a beergarden or restaurant for some nice food or drinks and enjoy the experience.

As we are a worldwide community, maybe you have some favourite walks that you like to do. Let us know in this week's Ecency Discord topic.

WALKING

As is usual with the Ecency Discord Topic, you are free to approach this as you like. This could be through writing a story, sharing your thoughts, taking some photos, or producing some art.

Here are a few ideas to inspire you:

  • Do you have any favorite walks? Where do you go?
  • Do you like to be surrounded by nature or through the city?
  • Do you like to go alone or with family/friends or a pet?
  • What do you see there?
  • Do you stop off for some lunch/dinner/drinks?
  • Do you have any fond memories of some walks you have done?
  • Perhaps there is a dream walk that you would like to make?
  • Does your daily routine include walking - tell us about it.

Feel free to let your imagination flow and use another aspect that you can think of.

The Ecency Discord Weekly Posting Topic is open for everyone on chain! There is no need to be an Ecency Discord member, no need to use Ecency to post, and no need to post into the Ecency Community.

You have time to submit your post until next Sunday evening.

Write at least 200 words, and take your time to make a good content post out of the topic.

Please write in English or for bilingual posts make one of the languages English.

The exception is German, still, a post in only German is allowed. But because of the low interest from the German-speaking community the #edtopic explanation post will be only in English.
Nevertheless, I would still be very happy about more participants from the DACH.

No need to mention that it should be your own content and please always source your own or free-to-use photos properly.

Why use those tags? Because you are free to post in any community you choose and so we can find your postings with the tags. Secondly, we want our Discord members to interact more with each other on chain as well, and this is a possibility to find each other and leave a nice comment.

it is a result of several things. Not many good pedestrians, and then heat, laziness, safety, and also since motorbike is mostly our means of transportation, walking might be looked down upon. strange isn't it?

Well I went out this morning to go walking to the bus stop to catch a bus to the next town ...

We are having torrential rain and flashfloods so that was a fail, and now drains on our street failed, so no walking.

But I shall enter for sure :)

This is a great topic for the week, Steve. Walking barefoot by the beach would be great to experience again. The thought of going for a walk maybe at a park or something and then like you said, stopping by somewhere to grab a beer or some food sounds fun :)

When the weather is conducive I do like to get outside for a walk. Otherwise, I do my best to get several walks up and down the steps in the house.

I am the same Lisa, I do prefer with good weather. I am not so keen on walking up stairs though! 😅 !LOL !ALIVE

I don't like having to bundle up to go outside. For me going up and down the steps is kind of the path of least resistance. In other words, it's convenient.
