My Play2Earn Gaming Roundup

p2earn110123.jpg

Welcome to my latest Play2Earn gaming roundup. My current play2earn gaming list is:

  • Rising Star
  • DCity
  • HashKings
  • DCrops
  • Splinterlands
  • Rollercoin
  • Cryptobrewmaster
  • Stardomplay NOT LIVE YET
  • Woo NOT LIVE YET
  • Crypto Shots
  • Train of the Century
  • Gods Unchained
  • Splinterforge NEW

Games on my radar that I didn't start yet are Muterra, Alienworlds, Infernal Colesseum, Flowerpatch, Beastgarden, Axie Infinity, Metropolis and Zombie Outbreak Survival. For ZOS I already have a starter kit and the same for Infernal Colesseum, I just need to get started there. I also bought a bunch of packs for Metropolis and am just reading the roadmap before I get started playing.

PlainDivider.jpg

I will start with Rising Star which is one of my favorite music NFT collection games. Since my last update, my fans have grown by nearly 4k, skill by 3k, and luck by 1k. Those are some great increases thanks to some regular buying of fans and pack openings.

I have climbed 3 levels to 82 and have opened the Country Tour missions.

image.png
source

This means my band is now prepared but we needed a rehearsal room. Therefore I bought two of them:

image.png
source

This allowed me to run the Country Tour mission for the first time:

image.png

This practice mission is great as you can earn quite a few Starbits and it only uses 15% energy. That will be good to run a few times each day.

image.png

I have also been gifted a rare R267 Michaela by the @Stickupboys so this helped to fill a gap in my collection too. Thanks, lads! I will be checking through what duplicates that I have and see if I can trade them for some of the cards that I am missing.

My ranking this week is 507 (585) which is a nice improvement from last week. I am currently saving Starbits so that I can do another 12-pack opening before the weekend. I do love a big pack opening!

If you are interested to give Rising Star a try, consider using my link here.

Well. things have been moving fast in dCity. First of all I managed to get almost to $1m SIM and I was quite happy. The price of the SIM was very good too, but then the price shot up and I decided to #takeprofits. So I am not holding hardly any SIM right now, which is a shame because of the great % return you get on it.

I am still getting daily SIM income from my DHEDGE and INDEX token holdings, but it is not very much.

As you remember last week, I put some of my cards up for sale. Many of them have sold and I have booked some nice profits.

image.png
source

This week I have made some further sales to liquidate more of my city. For many of the cards, the price has increased quite well or I got a good offer when I bought them because I was able to book a good profit on many of them. It seems a good buy-and-hold strategy can pay off well in the game.

Therefore, for the time being I take a break from dCity and wait for a good opportune moment to re-enter and get to the $1M SIM club and decide what cards I would like to buy.

PlainDivider.jpg

Things have been developing well in HashKings too.

Since my last update, I was unable to profitably plant any seeds on my land in Mexico and I was wondering what should I do about this.

image.png
source

As you can see, there aren't so many seeds for Mexico on the market and those that are way overpriced. In the end, I decided to change my staking strategy from BUDS to MOTA. I unstaked all my BUDS and burned around 6000 per day to gain MOTA for the MOTA Staking Pool.

image.png
source

How this works is a very convoluted process and not clear and logical but I will give you a quick overview. Basically, you need to first go to the above screen called "Lab". Something more logical like calling it "Staking" would have made far more sense IMO.

image.png
source

Next, to get MOTA, you need to burn BUDS to get a % share of the 1000 MOTA that is minted each day. Therefore, if you want MOTA, then burning BUDS each day to get MOTA from the pool can make sense, however not burning a huge stack, spread it out a bit. The alternative is to buy MOTA from the market which is quite expensive.

By burning around 6000 BUDS per day for a few days, I was getting around 15 MOTA each day from the pool. I then staked into the Mexico staking pool that would participate me in the daily seed drop.

image.png

Here you can stake your MOTA and get a chance at the daily seed drop. I read that you should have at least 100 MOTA staked in order to be able to get a seed. The whole thing is quite unclear and not so transparent.

image.png

Furthermore, I saw that Mexico has a not-so-bad 25,06% seed drop rate, so therefore it is not to be expected to get seeds every day. Luckily, since staking, I have managed to get 5 seeds so far and got my Mexico land working again growing. Originally I was considering to try and sell my land with the seed problem, but I should be ok going forward.

Additionally, I have tried to sell my spare seeds on the market but at a much fairer price to those who may need them. So far I think I sold 1, but there doesn't seem to be any way to check this.

Finally, the market for HKWater has collapsed further and the market seems to be flooded with more HKWater than is currently needed. I have bought some extra in case I might need it, but my 3 water towers are currently producing more than enough for my crops' needs at the moment.

I would like to buy some more land, the price are:

South America 5 Hive
Mexico 7 Hive
Afghanistan 10 Hive
Afrika 44,5 Hive
Jamaica 73 Hive
Asia 245 Hive

Which ones is the most cost-effective and best to buy, I am not quite sure yet and will need to research ahead of my next update.

PlainDivider.jpg

image.png
source

In dCrops, we are in the middle of the summer season and I have just harvested my mid-season wheat crop.

image.png
source

I have not been so good at completing the quests. Although, so far this season I have completed the wheat seeds planting task and will for sure complete the watermelon harvest one. So 2 from 7 isn't too bad.

image.png
source

If I want to complete the tomato task, I would need to buy a tomato seeds card that would cost around 5 Hive, which is quite expensive for a seed card.

image.png
source

It is the same story for the Chamomile seed card, although it costs more at 5,7 Hive. Therefore, I may save up my CROP tokens to buy these seeds so that I can more easily complete the chest tasks. My next goal is to save up 5999 CROP tokens to buy some Awesome land and grow my farm.

image.png

I have dropped down the ranking 2 places and still hold 24k CROP power. The return is currently 13,23% APY on my crop power, which is a drop compared to last week. I need to try and work on building my crop power and get first in the top 200.

Now with the bear market, it could be a good time to buy some extra land for a cheaper price.

If you want to give dCrops a try, you can use my link here.

PlainDivider.jpg

In Splinterlands I will give a separate update, but things are progressing well mid-season with 33 gold season chests so far.

image.png

source

If you are interested to play Splinterlands, considering signing up with my link here.

PlainDivider.jpg

Things have been progressing well in Rollercoin sincethe daily offer that runs until the 14th January has been running we have been offered some cheap miners and other offers at a very good price. I have tried to buy as much as I can.

image.png

I have also got a new rack which gives an extra power enhancement to my miners. I have a new hat and have opened quite a few loot boxes which give me extra RLT often.

My current mining rig setup is growing and I am trying to take advantage of any special deals that may be going in order to upgrade my rigs or get any bonuses.

Recently, I haven't bothered to play any of the mini-games, so am not gaining any extra XP at the moment.

image.png

Even though I have reached level 2, I cannot imagine that I will complete it in order to get the bonus power reward.

PlainDivider.jpg

This week I haven't been playing Crypto Brewmaster but I should really get going on this one.

PlainDivider.jpg

There have been some delays to the release of Stardom Play so I am still waiting to try this one out.

PlainDivider.jpg

Woo is not released yet and so far I continue to just have my WOO staked and earning some more WOO tokens each day.

PlainDivider.jpg

I haven't been playing Crypto Shots that much lately either which is bad of me as there are new levels available now. I did try to complete the harder levels but failed at them as I need more practice.

You can now link your Hive and Wax accounts to use assets from both accounts now which is good progress because it is easy to buy the NFTs on the Atomic Hub.

image.png
source

The first upgrade I would get would be the laser gun which would bring some good benefits. It only costs a couple of Wax on Atomic Hub so will probably be my first buy to help me clear the medium level and progress further.

image.png

So far I have staked around 8 igBOOM tokens and will continue to stack them there once I get into a better routine of playing.

image.png

Here you can see that I won 1.113 igBOOM for winning on the easy level. On the medium level with my current guns, I run out of ammo and seem to get killed quite easily. Once I get the new laser gun I will see if this will improve my gaming ability to survive longer and earn more.

PlainDivider.jpg

Train of the Century has been a game that I have let run in the background and I check every 2-3hrs. As I mentioned in my last report, I made some upgrades to my trains and this has increased my Tocium rewards substantially and also made the game more fun.

image.png
source

Here I have just claimed 691 Tocium, which is 0,23 Wax. Therefore, if you visit 7 or 8 stations per day, you could earn at least 1 or 2 Wax depending on how many trains that you have running. The price of Tocium has been steadily rising too which is a great sign for the game.

image.png
source

I am also having many encounters with The Stranger and story developments which is increasing my progress in the game. Here I have collected my 11th anomatic particle. What that is for, I am at the moment not sure.

image.png

The story encounters seem to be an intrinsical part of the game too and you meet different characters or get offered cool upgrades for your train at a reduced price. Here I met Maureen Fletcher and she told me about her cookies.

image.png

I am also starting to get some tips from my passenger. Up until now, she was not so generous. I have also started completing some of the many milestones in the game, such as passenger or freight distance traveled for the increasing distances traveled.

One thing that I didn't work out yet was choosing which station to go to next, and where would I earn the most. I could not see that very easily when you get the options. It is something I need to look into or ask in their very friendly discord server group.

My best train is currently train 1 and I have made some extra upgrades to it so that it can pull more carriages and travel further. This is important if you want to visit some of the further away stations.

PlainDivider.jpg

I still did not make any further progress with Gods Unchained apart from the odd round that I played. I need to transfer some ETH to my Immutable wallet and buy myself a new deck. The high gas fees and not ease of use that you have on Wax puts me off to do that, ETH is so annoying to use.

PlainDivider.jpg

A new game for this week is Splinterforge. This is a game where you can use your existing Splinterlands cards but play a new style of game fighting a more powerful boss.

image.png

Here are the different bosses that you can choose from. I always go for the easier one as my character doesn't have enough power to hold out very long against him.

image.png

The game is still very new but is very easy to get started and learn how to play. Using your existing cards makes it very quick to get going.

I find it important to have some strong attackers but also some shield and health regeneration. The only thing is that affliction from the boss cannot be overcome and I always die quite quickly. Even when using the Lama that should remove this from my monsters.

image.png
source

You can see here that I earned 0,885 Forgium (FORGE in Hive Engine) and 1 Electrum. This works out at 0,0013 Hive, which isn't very much. Therefore, it makes sense to buy some extra equipment and massively increase my earnings.

image.png
source

Options available are crates or enhancements bags which have the equipment to increase the strength of your hero. There are also potions available to give you extra buffs.

image.png
source

So far I have earned 7 Forgium and you can see my battle earnings here. This game could be a good one to keep an eye on.

PlainDivider.jpg

It isn't play2earn, but I was also playing some Fortnite recently and without crypto, it is not so much fun for some reason. I will make another post about that later.

Thanks for reading, let me know what you are playing in the comments.

Nice! You've been very busy I see.

I've been playing mostly Splinterlands, Rising Star and Rollercoin. I just started dCrops and was thinking about taking up on another game. Which one would you recommend? dCity, Hashkings, smth else?

Thanks, there are lots of good games to keep me busy! HashKings is good if you like the farming aspect, otherwise, Splinterforge is a good game to get in early on and Crypto Shots is a good shooter. I am looking forward to Stardom Play once it is released too.

You're sometimes top of the engagement league and it still baffles me how you always find the time to keep up with all these P2E games. Incredible commitments though.

Ah, you went ahead and got into Trains huh? It looks like it was a cool game. Like I said, I know some guys that made a lot of money on it when it first launched. Things were tight for me, so I skipped it. You should also check out Dark Country over on WAX. It is a pretty cool game that has a couple of different aspects to it. Regular card game and then a lands staking game with quests and stuff like that. I am only playing one side of it now, but I am building up a nice stack of Shadow Dimes.

There seems to be a great selection of games on Wax, I started Alien Worlds this morning. Just looking for some tools to get started mining. I want to avoid pressing the button every 2 minutes though like with this shovel..

Thanks for the tip about Dark Country, I will take a look too. :)

Yes, lots of selection, but I wouldn't say there is a lot of quality. Many of the games are just glorified faucets for the most part. There is still a ton of potential over there. You should check out 7th Seal game. That one actually has some gameplay and it is kind of cool. I own a bunch of land in that game so I can make my own maps if I wanted to. I just haven't gotten around to it.

Thanks, appreciate the tips. I agree, lots of rubbish there too, but they have some good infrastructure and are well placed to capitalise on this market. I hope I can bag enough Wax at under 5 cents before it goes up, but I am wondering what changes they are proposing to the tokenomics which I read in the roadmap.

I bought most of my WAX when it was $.03. I should have dumped some of it when it was inching towards $1, but I really felt like $1 was the minimum the token should be, so I held out for more. Silly me. Both WAX and HIVE are tokens I think should have a floor at no less than $1 and a ceiling of $10 or higher.

$1 would be pretty awesome, although I will cash out most of my wax at $0,5 if it reaches it.

I might cash out some at $.50 this time. Probably not all of it though. Too much potential for passive income there.
