Rising Star - Doing My First Music Promoter Missions - How To Guide

This week I have discovered how to do the music promoter missions and I thought it may be helpful to share this with you.

These missions are useful if you want to get some STARPRO from your STARBITS tokens. Why would you need STARPRO tokens you might think?

The first usecase that I found is that you need to hold increasing amounts of STARPRO in order to get the 10% bonus on the millionaire missions.

The 10% bonus works out at 1000 Starbits per day or 7k Starbits per week. The alternative is you can always buy the Starpro on the market too.

To get to the Music Promoter, you need to first click as above where it says Music Promoter.

Next, you need to add some Starbits to the promoter. These you will use to "promote" some of the missions that people will do. The idea behind the Music Promoter as I understand it is, that there is a daily reward pool of Starpro and by promoting the various missions by players, you can earn a % of that reward pool that should be paid out the next day.

Important to know is that once you transfer some Starbits over, they can't be returned, you need to use them up.

Right, we are ready to get promoting. The screen is split up into three sections. The first is the live mission log of all missions being completed by players. To the right, is the amount of Starbits that you have available for promoting. Finally, the lower part shows the different missions, the current bid, and the player with the highest bid.

Here I can see the current high bid and will click on this blue button with my new highest bid. This will mean that as a mission then completes, I am labeled as the "promoter" for that gig.

Here you can see now that I am the highest bidder and what my highest bid is.

Here in the top left of the screen, you can see that I've now promoted a number of missions. You can see that no one is listed as a promoter of illegal busking. This is one mission that you wouldn't be able to promote, as in real life you wouldn't promote that as a promoter.

That's it. Your bid will remain valid until your amount of Starbits has been used up, you stop your bid or someone outbids you.

To see the status of your Music Promoter Rewards you can click as shown above. This should be updated the next day.

Once I've used up all my Starbits promoting, you can see that it shows me now my % share of the reward pool and my current payout in Starpro. You will need to confirm that actual figure the next day to show your actual reward. Compared to the market price, the cost of buying this much Starpro is shown below:

That was my total after nearly 21k of Starbits. If I had just bought it today, it would have been cheaper:

This will be confirmed the next day with the exact Starpro and my share of the pool. I didn't pay too much attention to how much I was bidding, so I should be careful not to overbid as I did here! It was my first time, so next time I will try and bid lower.
