ThreeTuneTuesday - Bollywood Sightseeing Selection

avatar

Hello Hive Music Lovers!,

Welcome to another #threetunetuesday created originally by @ablaze.

This week we go in a different direction and I share my first Bollywood tunes.

But first, for those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday.... to quote @ablaze :

The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize.

However, I do it with a twist. Bollywood films are quite known to have major sightseeing attractions in them and I thought I would share 3 Bollywood tunes with tourist attractions that I have visited. I would then share a photo that I have taken there myself.

I have quite liked Bollywood films since around 2005, but haven't watched that much recently due to lack of time, but I hope to try and catch up with some of the newer films if I can.

The first song features the India Gate in New Delhi and was a photo that I managed to grab of it. I didn't get a photo of the monument with me in it, but that is a good excuse to go back there some day. What song could have the India Gate in it?

Of course the big hit for SRK, Chak De India. It means something like Come on India!

I think it's quite a motivating song and I thought it was cool that they were running around by the India Gate monument.

The next tune features the lovely beaches of Goa in India. Although beautiful beaches is not all that Goa has to offer, it has some stunning landscape and is great for riding a motorbike around.

What struck me was how lush and green everything was. It is hard to think this photo is over 10 years old. What song could be filmed on the beaches of Goa?

It is of course Tanha Tanha which is from the great film Rangeela, a bit of an oldie but I believe that it was one of AR Rahman's best too.

For the final song, I had to dig into my photo archives. This last song is an old one and features some classic London landmarks including Big Ben like here and the Houses of Parliament.

If you are a fan of KISS you might know it. I was watching the film Jaanam Samjha Karo with the great Salman Khan and this song came on that was pretty hilarious.

The film is good and worth watching imo, Salman Khan at his best.

The winner from last week's 5 LEN token giveaway was @deraaa Congratulations!

Wow I was not expecting these Steve!

Bollywood movies are great, we had lots of Indian friends when we lived in Aberdeen and were always watching Bollywood movies, the dancing was awesome and they are so colourful!

Chak De India is my favourite simply because I actually know that one!

I like to try and throw up a surprise now and then. I do like to catch some of the big Bollywood films, you can't beat the singing and dancing like you say.

I'm wondering if you've seen Don? Don is my favorite closely followed by Chennai Express and then Pathaan!

Do you use translator for understanding the lyrics???

No, sometimes there is translation. But many times I saw Bolly films in the cinema, it had English subtitles/dubbing.

Yes English subtitles is the quite easiest way

I don't get Bollywood. I am sure it is a cultural thing and probably a little bit of my age, but I just don't get it. That's a ship that I just can't jump on board. I get the choreography is fun, but it just comes across as cheesy to me.

I think you have to sink into the story and let your imagination take hold. Many of the themes are quite powerful and a different approach to Hollywood cinema.

I've never watched a full movie, I've only seen bits and pieces, so maybe I just need to give it a chance.

Bollywood movies are always replete with cool and soothing music. Everything is dance really. Love the 3rd song though.

Neat! Bollywood is not anything that comes onto my radar about ever, so it was really neat to listen to these. It was a really neat version of I Was Made for Loving You; it started off with a Moulin Rouge feel but quickly became it's own. I really enjoyed that one.

Thanks, the last tune was an interesting mix of the original Kiss song. It did have this Moulin Rouge feel to it for sure. Quite cool to see them dancing in and around the bowling hall. When the bus drives past is also quite funny.

We are exciting to watch bollywood for the beautiful ladies, great art and wonderful tunes. It was the great tune that excites us most. We still don't know the lyrics or the name but the way that they danced in every intermission is very sweet.

There is one like "chuk de india" So exciting

Wow man. I visited India Gate last week and going to Goa in September. Great to see your old photos from the trip shared with nostalgic bollywood songs. All three are quite popular songs of their times and even now.

Next time you are here, just let me know, would love to connect with you. 🔥🔥

I found this post on your Zealy campaign.

I would not have a clue about Bollywood now I must say, but I watched all of these and listened to the music, the second one was my favourite of the three, really interesting post though and always cool to hear something a bit different.
