Snow Day yesterday

Woke up yesterday to 16 inches fresh snow. Had to break out the snow blower, 8000 steps later driveway clear, but still lightly snowing. Later in the afternoon the sun came out so I decided to shovel the thin layer so that it might dry off, another 1000 steps. This was the heaviest snowfall in the two years living here.

Looking forward to spring 🙂.

I too am looking forward to Spring. I think its cool you counted your steps. Its one way to encourage yourself to be more active and also a good way to see the silver lining in the snow.

Yeah, and Environment Canada is predicting snow every day this week. They do not say how much.....

I have found that the weather forecasting has gotten a lot worse over the last 5 years or so. It used to be that they would predict a precipitation range and you could plan around it.

These days they seem to be wrong way more often than right and have just stopped giving the information until the night before with a warning notification.

What kind of car is that? The rear axle is all the way at the back of the vehicle, and I don't think I recognize it.

Is that yours? I bet that's fun to drive. I see them pretty often around here, but I've never rode in one. But every small car I've rode in like Mini Coopers and Fiat 300's was fun because of the way they handle and ride.

Yes it is very much fun to drive, made the mistake of letting my son and wife drive it..... Now my wife prefers driving it...

Haha, I bet. Do you know if yours is turbo-charged?
I was just reading up on them, and I didn't even realize they offer three different 3 cylinder engines!
There's a 0.8 litre Mercedes Benz turbo-diesel engine, and two 1.0 litre petrol Mitsubishi engines with or without a turbocharger.

No it does not have Turbo, just 1 litre petrol in Canada. I did not know they had a Turbo model.

I love the snow. We got about 6 inches where I live. Super mild winter for us though so the kids were happy to finally have some snow to play in.

We have been crazy lucky here this year, two major snow storms that dumped a bunch of snow and that's it. It was last week when we got about 16" and I spent most of the morning shoveling out our deck/driveway and helping the neighbours do the same.

The kids love it though!

We are having freezing rain in North Carolina right now. It's worse than snow for power lines and trees, but at least it will melt tomorrow. We just wait it out down here, usually doesn't last long.

Hi @mytechtrail

Impressive the thickness and shape of the cut you made to the snow cover, no doubt under those conditions the spring entry is the best gift that nature can give us.

Yours, Piotr
