The founder of Terra is still under penalty of law

South Korean prosecutors asked the State Department to revoke Do Kown's passport, founder of the Terra crypto project

On Monday, media reports said they had also begun the process of getting Interpol to issue a red notice dedicated to Do Kown.

These developments emerged in the wake of Do Kown's announcement on Sunday in a tweet that he was not a fugitive and was even cooperating with authorities in several jurisdictions.

Fugitive Terra Crypto Project Founder:
Despite Do Kown's claim to the contrary, his country's authorities consider him a fugitive who should be arrested.

The Seoul Southern District Prosecutor's Office said Monday:

We have started the procedure to put him on the Interpol Red List and cancel his passport... We are doing everything we can to locate and arrest him... It is clear that he is a fugitive because the main financial people of his company also left for the same country [Singapore] during that time.

Singapore police on Saturday clarified that Do Kown is no longer on their territory, but that law enforcement agencies will cooperate with South Korean authorities in the matter.

Last week, a Korean court issued an arrest warrant against Do Kown.

He reportedly told the plaintiffs through his attorney that he did not wish to respond to his summons immediately.

open case:

The arrest warrant issued last week held several people, including Do Kown and five others, including Nicholas Platias, a member of the Terra Foundation, for not cooperating with the investigation.

After the collapse of the $40 billion Terra-Luna ecosystem, a total of 81 South Korean investors filed complaints against the company and its officials, accusing them of fraud.

The South Korean court combined these complaints into two cases.

The coverage noted that the court said Do Kown and others appeared to have violated the country's capital markets laws and should participate in the investigations.

Prosecutors told that Do Kown dissolved the company's South Korea subsidiary in April and moved to Singapore.

In May, Do Kown family members and the company's chief financial officers also traveled to Singapore.

Since the news of the arrest warrant against Do Kown was announced on September 14, the price of LUNA has fallen more than 40% from $4.36 on September 14 to $2.60 today, September 19.
