History has shown that dips in Crypto are nothing but great opportunities

I know most people in crypto check prices multiple times daily. In my personal experiences, when we check prices daily we tend to lose the macro perspective and let the emotions make the most of our decision making.

A lot of people new to crypto will panic sell their holding when they see consecutive red days because they fear for the worst. I guess it's okay to be prepared for the worst-case scenario but one should make their investment decision based on their research and they must stick to their long term game plan.

We are driven by emotions far more than we like to admit, not unlike other species. It's just always fascinating to see it play out during crypto bear markets where controlling your emotions would be insanely beneficial.

I guess If you're trading then controlling emotions is extremely important. Some people accumulate more of the coins they truly believe in by selling them during bull and buying the dip. There are all sorts of people are in crypto. All I want to say is I'm writing this post to myself and trying to educate myself while sharing my perspective on things.

Even though I'm talking about controlling emotions, I also still learning and finding ways to control emotions not just crypto but also some other aspects of life.

When in doubt, zoom out

It's not so easy to think long term. When you hear people telling you they sold Bitcoin at $20 because they failed to zoom out. And we have people who sold Hive at $0.20 in our community too.

The harsh truth is that only the strongest make the most money in crypto.

Yeah but not everyone has had Bitcoin since 2010, I just started in September, and lost everything I gained in October, I'm not selling, hodling and buying dips, but this is very frustrating.

HODLing can be frustrating for many. We just need to find a way to see the bigger picture with crypto.

This aspect is quite true because such people tends to be active users to know the inflation and deflation of price but the most important thing in crypto world requires patience regardless of the price whether high or low.

Being in crypto, I think we should put our emotions aside. Not only crypto emotions can a role in any other investment as well.

Having bought some crypto, the bear market has been started. However, I don't care. Every dump has its pump ;)

The problem is we individuals do not cut losses and those who panic sell should buy again which they don't that's the problem.

In the beginning I would look at crypto prices many times a day. But as I was gaining experience, I was setting goals and I didn't enter as much, now I am hodl and I just wait, regardless of the color of the market. Greetings!!

You have said many beautiful things. Trading is not done with passion. Many want to benefit in a very short time. So they become overwhelmed with emotion. I have a colleague who suddenly buys some coins without considering justice and wants to sell them a few days later. As a result, he is always at a disadvantage. So it seems to me that without a long-term plan It is not possible to benefit from emotions.

For long-term investors, I think the declines are not important. 90% of my investments are long term.

I think short-term investing is like gambling, you have to see the risks well.

90% of my investments are long term

When I got started with Crypto 80% of my investments are long term and but when I switched from investor to entrepreneur I had to sell everything then I started from Zero with crypto.

So I learned the hard way the importantce of the long term game plan!

Just think how much things have grown around here in just the last 18 months. There was a time when we earned one token and that is it.

One aspect i've come to terms with, is to always believe that HODLing long-term requires different sets of emotions to actually carry them through. I've hardly checked the prices lately and like you said its fraustrating and this is mainly the reason why I don't even bother checking. We're still riding high despite the red all over.

Very true, stacks are built during the dips. It's just so much easier to follow this principle if you are not overexposed. People who panic sell have probably invested way more than they can afford to lose.

I never panic sold but I was too stubborn and wasn't prepared for the worst-case scenario.

Thank you for the lessons learned and now I feel more confident with my long term game plan with crypto!

Same again, never panic sold but I've made too many mistakes along the way anyway. Now I'm hopefully much more experienced and prepared for the future.

I don't think BTC is anymore "the slave of the halving cycles" and I've emphasized that in a few recent posts. What blockchain technology and crypto is experiencing right now is totally different from what we had four years ago. The market can't simply "wait for four more years" with all the mass adoption coming on. It's already two major German banks that have announced in the past couple of days that they're working on offering crypto services to their clients.

Global pandemic is also accelerating crypto mass adoption too!

I think it depends on the asset you are holding. If the roadmap and development isn't there, HODLing won't do anything. However if it is there then yes I do agree with HODLing.

Controlling one's emotions is one important skill we should really learn. I remember when I just got into crypto, I had about 1btc at around $1k back in 2017, I was impatient and couldn't control my emotions back then, under 2wks of purchase, it fell to around $800 and I quickly sold off. BTC eventually peaked at $17k or so that year. After that experience, I learnt patience the hard way. Now it's about holding and having the long term in mind.

I do look at the markets constantly both crypto and metals. But I do not react to them at all. I just look to see what’s going on more then anything else. When there are dips on coins that I like, if I have the cash I buy more. I’m looking for 5-10 years from now not tomorrow. If I play my cards right and made smart decisions it will all pay off in the end.

You have said many beautiful things. It is very wrong to do anything out of emotion. If you want to benefit from something else, you have to work with a long-term plan. It is very important for him to work patiently. Thank you very much.

The harsh truth is that only the strongest make the most money in crypto.

Seeing the value of your Splinterlands card collection decrease from more than $900 USD to below $600 USD, and the value of your SPS collection decrease from around $200 USD to below $90 USD, while your total monthly income in real life is approximately only $470 USD per month is certainly not easy. It requires a very strong hand and a very strong will to not sell everything.

I think that I have it. I have not sold nothing in the recent past. I even bought some Splinterlands cards, and I am also doing Splinterlands card giveaways. I try to think long term, and I try to think about this as an opportunity, as/like you wrote.

Thank you for the motivation.

I give you some !PIZZA and some !LUV.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

Well said. When I joined crypto years ago, I never understood this until I started engaging hive-engine tokens for curation. I now know how dips are healthy for the system.

I would love to have more conversation with you. I hope to know your discord id or where can I find you in some discord channel?

Looking forward to hear from you.
