RE: Needlework Monday Live Chat | Going to the Sales and Discovering Dark Academia (plus random yarn sorting)!

Yes, yarn sales (or in my case “yes farbic sales” as I am forbidden by myself to buy more yarn) YOu found such love fluffy lilac yarn. The color is fabulous <3 And I am really looking forward to the sweater vest you are making because I already confessed that I am also swayed by the academia style (in my case I think its more like weirdcottageacademia). I still have some unfinished cardigans (yarnends and buttonband) where I want to write the pattern down, but after this I must start a sweater vest. In the meantime I will try to feel your knitting process as my substitution to still my sweater vest lust :-D
And that you are mistaken for working in the yarn shop… could it be a sign of your intimate connection to the yarn? I often have this phenomenon in book shops were people ask me to help them (and it absolutely could not be caused because I sit in book shops for hours my bag and coat abandoned in some corner :-DDD)

I'm going through an interesting change where I am more and more drawn to knitting. I pulled out my embroidery things last week for a project that the sewing group is doing but I found it didn't really hold my attention. It was good, really, as I had been wondering about the things that are created through embroidery - many are very beautiful, some are pretty, others are useful - but they all feel like things that need taking care of and which fill up the space around you and weigh you down. Knitting, though, I am finding ever more fascinating. The sweater vest is an easy soothing knit, something I can pick up when I want a sit down for half an hour with a cup of tea.
