Big fish, little fish.

Crypto has some big fish..

But that's not me unfortunately.
Definitely not a whale.

More of a trout really.

I think that this one captures me appropriately.

But I have been around here for a long time and have build up some decent positions in crypto.

Not enough to buy that island yet but enough to hire a boat and visit one.

That is the big difference in the crypto game. We are all laying the same game but there are many different leagues.

Some people bought their way to the top ranks and some grinded their way to the top with some gutsy calls and big decisions.

With that said I have been pricing some islands lately and there is a nice one in Galway for just €225,000. Fairly achievable but then you'll need a boat and drinking money so not quite yet.

Ever imagined owning your own piece of the Emerald Isle? A remote island set on the largest lake in Ireland could be yours.
Lees Island, an 85-acre Irish gem set on Lough Corrib in Connemara, County Galway, is currently on the market.

It's hard to rise up the ranks in crypto.

Money makes money but what do you do when you have no money.

You can work for it or add value but the big votes go to the big accounts.

They have more connections and visibility so they do much better than the new users.

I have been diving into the new post feeds for the past couple of days trying to find some gems and spread my voting chart to a few new names and leave some comment to encourage growth.

I might not be a big whale but you forget that over time you will grow to a medium sized account which can look quite large to newer users.

I'm fortunate enough to get some votes everyday and have somehow forgotten the struggle to get started for new users.

It's important i think to not forget about the small accounts when you get comfortable middle class around the place and have found your niche and your projects.

It takes years to slowly build to this point and we do lose a lot of people along the way. I can also get too focused on my own growth and forget the most important rule for long term success.

The network effect. It is much more valuable to all of us if i can retain and grow a dozen small users rather than get one more big upvote for myself.

The more users that are successful on hive then the more people that will follow them down the same path.

It's no good if a few people hold all of the tokens if they have very little value. Then we are just another corporation. Real success for me would be to have millions of people holding a few tokens and they are worth a lot more.

Now that's not going to stop me trying to grow my own account as there is always a need to play at the top levels but i do need to remember how hard it is in the lower leagues and try to help them along as well.

Write my content and showcase opportunities but also to engage and make it a good experience that they want to repeat.

Those poor little minnows are never going to find it easy but the hardship as good to grow determination. It wasn't easy for any of us.

The operators doing V2K with remote neural monitoring want me to believe this lady @battleaxe is an operator. She is involved in the same discord groups around @fyrstikken and friends. Her discord is Battleaxe#1003. Shes in some groups with seemingly detached characters that dont even acknowledge the others in the group, looking oddly staged. She starts projects and does nothing with it or the delegations after its used to sway people. Like @steempowertwins does<------fake along with her @teamgood <------fake. No substance in her comments and has a following that adores her for what? Life coach she is not nor is she insightful with any meaningful skills to follow. Ruler of pixie dust maybe? I would like for someone to show me but probably wont out fear maybe? @fyrstikken groups around him down voted me into censored and not viewable on my accounts as soon I told what they were doing.
I cant prove @battleaxe is the one directly doing the V2K and RNM. Doing it requires more than one person at the least. It cant be done alone. She cant prove she is not one of the ones doing V2K because she cant and could care less. I guarantee she knows this is going around and still wont prove it because she cant. Many of us here can prove what they have been doing to survive the past 5 years. What does she live off of? It definitely isnt in public view here.

I was drugged in my home covertly, it ended badly. They have been trying to kill me using RNM with applied V2K mental games while revealing as many accessories to the crime as they can. I bet nobody does anything at all. Ask @battleaxe to prove it. I bet she wont. Pretty serious accusations to just blow off and leave the crypto community hanging in fear of this danger.

They want me to believe the V2K and RNM in me is being broadcast from her location. And what the fuck is "HOMELAND SECURITY" doing about this shit? I think stumbling over their own dicks maybe? Just like they did and are doing with the Havana Syndrome. They should start by looking at the communications between the top witnesses of Hive and the connection to @fyrstikken groups. Google his fucking name and see where his other interests lie around at least once maybe? The connections between @fyrstikken groups and all the exchanges built for Hive? Bet that would reveal some crazy ball less nutty shit. Homeland security should start preparing for their own incarcerations seeing how sloppy this was done. Patriot act my ass. Think we are really fools? Bad position your not getting out of. Dont be last to blow the whistle. Who will protect you?

People in and around @fyrstikkens groups are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 long torturing years and counting. That is a long time to wait for someone to die.

What would you say while having a gun pointed at your head from an undisclosed location? Have people find it? My hands are tied while they play like children with a gun to my head. Its a terrorist act on American soil while some yawn and say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and why nothing is being done. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control that have ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers prevented from telling the truth from being treated as criminals? Not to mention civilians we let our leaders treat the same way. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism-terrorism

The idea of having an island is just so cool.

I feel when one has grinded so hard to get to certain rank, some rewards are not so bad.

It's really nice that big hivers like you still think of looking out for small accounts.

A lot of people don't even care and forget that investing in people is one of the greatest investments.

Do have a nice time growing your account.

I wouldn't consider myself a big hiver but i suppose that it has grown to a decent level over time.

I still look up at the big accounts that are ahead of me and plan on how to jump past them one by one.

All of my growth was from putting in the hours and stacking as hard as possible. It might not work for everybody but it has worked well for me.

This is very true. The way to success on HIVE and LEO is not to post, post, post. It is to comment, upvote, and curate other people's posts. In the early stages especially, reading articles and commenting on them builds name recognition and, more importantly, knowledge. You learn what's going on in the HIVE world, how the more successful people write, and how everything fits together. Plus all the knowledge you gain about the cryptosphere in general from people who have been in it for a few years.

Knowledge is power. The only way to acquire that knowledge is by experiencing things yourself and reading about other people's experiences. There are no shortcuts. You can jumpstart yourself by buying some tokens, but unless you're already pretty well-to-do before you arrive, the only way to build that financial freedom is by learning what's available and finding ways to earn and compound your money.

The greatest thing about HIVE in my opinion, is that you cannot fail. You can only quit. If you stick with it and curate consistently, you will build your bags, your knowledge, and your war chest so that you'll be ready to take advantage of future opportunities that present themselves.

We are still in the very beginning of the crypto industry. The market value of the entire cryptosphere is around $2T. I expect that to 100x over the next 10 years. Just get in the game and learn. We're all in the right place at the right time. We just have to take advantage of it.

Seems like it changes just as fast as you can learn it. My opinions on crypto investing and my strategy have shifted dramatically in just the last few weeks...again. !LOLZ

This is very true. The way to success on HIVE and LEO is not to post, post, post. It is to comment, upvote, and curate other people's posts.

This is it exactly. So many people, come here. Write some posts and expect to be successful. It's only the very few that take the time to see how the system works. See how the successful people have done it and put in the work to grow.

As you have said. You cannot fail with the right attitude and work ethic. You just need to do it.

I've been using the tipping bots on smaller accounts lately. I just go through and exhaust all my calls on posts that got no love because people are too new. A side effect I didn't expect was my follower count started going up. Went from 50 to almost 80 in a few weeks.

It's nice to get something on your post when you start off.

I still remember the excitement when i got a random $1 vote as it was so unexpected at the time. A time when most of my content earned less than 10c.

Then i started engaging with other users and my followers and votes kept getting bigger. Just like your seeing now, that engaging with others will really make a difference.

Haha. I just want to thank you for doing this @niallon11. Honestly, it gets hard to keep pushing every day and a token of appreciation like a motivating comment or an upvote go a very long way for us creators.

If you look from the perspective of a redfish or a minnow, trout is a whale. So you are a whale for those fortunate peeps. :') Keep doing your thing and it will all come back to you. Don't forget, those redfish and minnows are now in your circle of influence, creating your network bigger and better. Most of them will definitely return the favor you are doing to them and add more value to your circle. The network is actually your net worth.

I can imagine how it was like for all those creators when they started their journey 5 years ago on Steem and survived so many HF including the one that create HIVE. They have come this far and now getting rewarded for their consistent efforts by everyone. Keeping that in mind, I do my thing without expecting any rewards now and I get surprised by upvotes from trouts (aka future whales) like you. Haha! Thank you so much :D

More power to you mate. That island will be yours. Cheers!

Thank you for the hard work promoting those smaller accounts. I haven't had as much time lately but I think one of the best resources for those smaller accounts is to use Listnerds. It is sure to help them get their post in front of more people without too much work and from there, it's up to them to keep them coming back for more.
