Opening Splinterlands gladius packs.
Gladius cards are the key to winning brawls
If you have been playing splinterlands for a long time then I'm sure that you are well aware of brawls at this stage and have joined a guild.
If you haven't joined any guild yet and would like to join a competitive guild then we still have two spaces in my own guild "Dark Assassins" which you can find here.
They are quick, fun and can be profitable. We came second in our last brawl and did quite well.
The guild has won spoils of 41 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 2,050 Merits and 23.28 staked SPS.
That SPS can be converted to almost 1000 DEC on hive-engine and used to buy even more cards. Building up your deck and our guild at the same time.
Slowly filling out the collection.
It will be a long time before I can get near to maxing out the gladius collection but it will be a while yet before we upgrade all of the buildings to be able to play them anyway but every new pack opened brings me closer to that goal and increases my collection power.
It had been a while since I had bought any packs but had built up enough merits for 11 new packs and went shopping.
It was a good pack opening with two new legendaries that i didn't have before and a couple of gold cards to go with them. That only leaves me three more legendaries to have a complete level one collection with a lot of the more common cards at levels 2 and 3.
Regular deck. Slowly but surely filling out the full collection and working towards maxing it.
Gold deck.
Gold will take a lot longer to fill out but it's not my main focus as we have a lot of good playing in the guild already that have gold cards.
I'll focus on playing the higher level games and let the others play to their strengths as well.
It's fun to have an organic deck like this that can only be won on the field of play rather than bought and paid for like the rest. It gives them more value in my eyes as they are all hard won. A single brawl at a time.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
Cards worth a few cents now will have a much higher value in the future as the print runs out. We have a strong community and seen this happen every time as it grows with the game.

I don't brawl but I see you opened a Legendary (congrats). I do find the cards to be interesting. There is just so much to do that I had to opt out of brawls. There is not enough time in the day.

Wow, nice rewards. Gladius packs tend to give bad rewards because I can't buy any potions for them. I think the cards are quite powerful and you got a nice collection of cards. I only have like 3 or 4 gold cards and only 1 of the legendary cards in my deck.

It was a very good pull with two legendary cards. I only have 5 total now so that's as many as the last 12 months almost.
I don't bother with potions just open as I get them
