The Really Wild Show Theme Tune About To Get a Drum & Bass Remix!
Back in the 90s in the UK there was a wildlife program on kids TV called The Really Wild Show hosted by teenage heart throb Michaela Strachan that I used to watch a fair amount.
However, the theme tune stuck in my head ever since and for some reason, I've now got an impulse to do a drum and bass remix of it!
So I had to do some digging and someone had uploaded an extended version of the theme tune on YouTube which is great!
Then, I studied the comments section as I usually do and some dude has actually recognised that the name of the track that this theme tune samples is Ellovee-Ee by Tony Sherman - a vintage disco tune from 1982!
Unless BBC paid for the license rights to use this tune, then they actually ripped it off Sherman's original!
In any case, that funky beat and horn section is so damn catchy and when it's sped up to 170 BPM, it's going to be nuts!
I'll be working on something over the next couple of weeks for sure, probably do a full remix of the whole track as a tribute to the childhood days!
In the meantime, just enjoy this disco jam and I'll keep you posted!

It's going to be challenge but should be good fun. I've already sped it up to 170 BPM and it sounds insane haha! Oh they didn't even try to modify it, just hope that Sherman got some royalties for it

Thanks a lot man! I've done the final tweaks now but going to rest my ears for a couple of days before giving it the final test and then on to the mastering studio!
