Keeping My Expenses Within My Budget || LOH #115

Hey Ladies, this will be my first post in this community for the year, so happy new year to you all. For the weekly contest, I will be answering question 2, and thanks to @joanstewart for coming up with these interesting prompts.

2️⃣ With Inflation hitting most countries, what plans have you made to keep within budgets? Are you armed with information before doing your grocery shopping, paying insurance bills, and utility bills? All is ever increasing, except earnings, where many obtain no inflationary increase — or worst still, not earning an income.

These days, the cost of living is doubling. Many countries are experiencing inflation and living within the budget becomes very important. There are things I used to neglect before but as the day goes by, things aren't getting better and I am becoming wiser by force. A lot of spending above my budget happened last year. Just this afternoon, I went to the market to replace some basic items needed in my home, and behold, another additional money. Then I became a bit afraid of what may happen as the year progresses, an item I got so high in December and I was thinking that it was because of the Christmas season that caused the price increase, now just on the 3rd of January, the price has skyrocketed. I mean how do some people who have no tangible source of income survive this mess? I am worried because the salary remains the same.

My plans...
For my groceries, I was informed of a local market not nearby though but I should get there within 2 hours and get lots of foodstuff at a more affordable rate than what I get in a nearby market here. The money I spend on food stuff alone getting them around here where I reside is extremely too high, this shattered my budget last year in this kind of inflation. I have decided to be doing monthly shopping in the local market where I will spend lesser money on the same quantity of items. It can only take some of my time and stress but it's fine, it's a way to curtail some expenses to accommodate other needs.

For my utility bill, I use to subscribe for 6months but I am adjusting it to subscribing monthly. The reason is that the 6 monthly subscriptions will only tie the money down when I have other things to attend to with the money. It would have been nice but to balance things, I am adjusting this part to a monthly sub for my utility.

Savings is inevitable! I plan to save no matter how little each month. An urgent situation that requires finances may arise and in that case, our savings can save the day.

I will also focus more on the needs of my family than my wants, hopefully, things will take shape but till then, I gat to curtail some things to fit in with the economy.

This is my entry to the LADIES OF HIVE COMMUNITY CONTEST#115 and I will love to invite @hopestylist and @goodysam to participate.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, stay amazing🧡❤️

This is a really good way to manage the inflation, one just has to be wiser by all means if not we will run incurable debt and that might even lead to high blood pressure.

I'm happy to see how you are going to manage the situation henceforth, you are indeed a virtuous woman, going to the local market monthly is one of the best way to manage this inflation.

Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge with us and also for the mention, I will be joining the contest 🥰😊.

You've got a nice plans to curb the effect of the current inflation and hike in prices of items.

I hope transportation to that place where things are cheap won't equate to they same price of nearly after transport is added.

Your savings will save you one day. So it's good to save .

No...the transportation fare wouldn't be an issue compare to the cash down I will get ....I can even come to Epe..ur side, most marketers visit there and come back to sell us high. So far I will be buying in bulk, it will be far better

I get stressed looking at the prices of the goods I normally buy but that will change. I don' have many local shops as they are taken up by the big retailers so I resort to markdown and clearance food items more. Sometimes buying bulk and some sale items ahead of time now rather than later help save some cash.

I am ready to bear the whole stress this time just to get affordable groceries 😂

I have to do this because the economy is not smiling....here local markets are open to both retailers and everyone provided you go so early

Buying in bulk is the goal if the money is available 👌

My dear the rate at which things increase this days is so frustrating, sometimes I wonder how family heads and those with little or no source of income will survive.
I like this plan of yours I might just borrow a leave from you.
Thanks for the invite

Making our money stretch further we have to look at the most unusual things, rather than buying tinned buy dry beans, lentils things that one is able to use throughout the month. Purchases in bulk often saves on toiletries and cleaning materials, share product/cost with family or friends. Kilogram price for cheese, meat, vegetables and fruit purchased fresh one needs to know the markets or shops that offer better prices, more research regularly.

Thinking ahead, anticipating this economic down-slump we can only prepare ourselves for the worst, when achieving new comfort level save excess in products, money, food by never wasting wherever possible, less is more at the moment.

You are right ma. More findings can assist us in getting affordable stuffs in a time like this... further stretching can save the day.... buying in bulk has proven to save a lot of cash if the money is available for it

You are wise ma’am and I love the way you plan to stock your house with foodstuffs by buying it from the local market and yes that saving part I am in for that this year 2023 that I even bought a local bank to save money😂😊
