I would ask him where the electricity to recharge Tesla cars batteries coming from? From renewables? I doubt it.

For that no for sure.
But Tesla Energy department creates renewable solar energy. Enough each year to power all their cars in the world.

Even if renewable energy is not used to charge the cars, they are putting more solar energy on the market than they consume with the cars

the thing is, if we was so pro about protecting the environment why he doesn't sell all of his btc immediately? Also, tons of guys in his comments are saying that 75% of the mining energy is renewable and other similar examples. Heck even binance posted a diagram :P

I'll share my reply on you other comment to start this reply :

"Yes, but he said something about an increase in Fuel energy. Maybe something changed few days ago ?

Because while the 75% of renewable is totally true, sometimes even around 80 or more, maybe this changed now for some reason ? I don't know, a region of the world where the fuel energy price lowered and boom the people started lining Bitcoin because it became profitable ? That could make the renewable energy become like 70% just since few moments. "

Because the chart of Binance is from march, so there is probably some difference. I still didn't find anything saying that the fuel energy in mining actually increased but that's what they said. They probably have a reason :

The other tweets are totally out of context. The guy saying that it's already debunked is right, but it seems that something changed, that's at least what is said by Tesla.

Maybe he doesn't want to flood the blockchain because they would make tons of transactions if they wanted to sell it. If a lot of new transactions are flooding the chain, the fees could go higher, and if the fees go higher, mining become more profitable and that could bring even more miners.

That's just a theory.

And maybe as I said before, maybe they stopped just few time until the renewable-fuel ration get closer to 75% (if it really came lower these days) to start again accepting Bitcoin as payments, so they don't want to sell it at all, just wait before accepting it again !

And there's at least a third possible reason, somebody has a plan and they're going to make huge money with that.

Let's see what the future will tell about it

to add to this if i remember correctly a couple of months ago in a region of China due to the high energy consumption from mining with those fuels that he mentions they banned the whole mining operation in that area and told the miners to go to some place else :P
