Good day community

The tradition of figures of a Bethlehem is typical in almost all regions of the planet and is highly variable and widespread. Regardless of personal beliefs, matters of faith, this is a series of images that I took in this beautiful Bethlehem in the city where I live, Cáceres. This recreation in figures of fired and hand-painted clay belongs to the brotherhood of Jesus the condemned in my city. A meticulous work with great care loaded with good details, with a very specific perspective for assembling this type of composition and with some rare and fabulously elaborated pieces from different periods make visiting it an experience.

On these very traditional and special dates, the representation of these figures from that time, the birth of Jesus Christ, makes one stay observing the many details and move to this remote time in our history. Many family memories come to my mind when I look at these figures, memories of when I was a child and we used to set up the nativity scene at my parents' house. We would go to collect the moss and take out that box stored almost all year to carefully unwrap the clay figures and place them, family moments with siblings and parents.
