Good day community

Walking through the Christmas market of my city, in Cáceres, Spain and from a considerable distance came a very pleasant smell, it was sweet and full-bodied. I got closer to that stall where these good pastry craftsmen appeared before me preparing and selling these delicious churros. I noticed that in a cauldron they had the dough already prepared to make this delicious dessert and that as I was preparing the container to make them and frying they were reloaded with more dough. The art and speed with which that good man moved his hands to get this delicious and simple recipe surprised me. While watching his partner serve people and batter some churros with a chocolate coating and prepare coffee and hot chocolate drink.

I began to collect and try to document with some photographs the process of making the churros. The pleasant smell of freshly fried food combined with the mixture of sweet smells of cream, chocolate and coffee had me mesmerized. I also noticed the many people who stopped to have some right there while others took some to their homes in paper cones. I couldn't resist and asked for three with a crunchy chocolate cover. When I finished taking some photos I started eating them right there, they were very good and I thought I could have eaten some more but I'll be back another day. This type of Christmas market is very varied and you can find different artisans, local products, books, ceramics and food.

At the end and after collecting some more images from other stalls, I was chatting for a while with a ceramicist friend from the south of the country that I will introduce to you soon. I selected the most appropriate images for this publication and here I show them to you, greetings friends.

@oscarps Me enamoré de un churro

Paseando por el mercadillo navideño de mi ciudad, en Cáceres, España y desde una distancia bastante considerable vino un olor muy agradable, era dulce y con mucho cuerpo. Me fui acercando a aquel puesto donde aparecían ante mí estos buenos artesanos reposteros preparando y vendiendo estos deliciosos churros. Me fije que en un caldero tenían la masa ya preparada para confeccionar este rico postre y que según iba preparando el recipiente para hacerlos y friendo recargaba con más masa. El arte y la rapidez con que aquel buen hombre movía sus manos para conseguir esta deliciosa y sencilla receta me sorprendía. Mientras veía que su compañero atendía a la gente y rebozaba algunos churros con una cubierta de chocolate y preparaba café y bebida de chocolate caliente.
Empecé a recoger y tratar de documentar con algunas fotografías el proceso de confección de los churros. El agradable olor a recién frito combinando con la mezcla de olores dulces de crema, chocolate y café me tenían hipnotizado. Me fijaba también en las muchas personas que se paraban a tomar alguno allí mismo mientras otros llevaban en cucuruchos de papel algunos para sus casas. No me pude resistir y pedí que me pusieran tres con cubierta de chocolate crujiente. Cuando termine de capturar algunas fotos me puse a comerlos allí mismo, estaban muy buenos y pensaba que me podía haber comido algunos más pero volveré otro día. Este tipo de mercado navideño es muy variado y se pueden encontrar diferentes artesanos, productos de la tierra, libros, cerámica y comidas.
Al finalizar y después de recoger algunas imágenes más de otros puestos estuve charlando un rato con un amigo ceramista del sur del país que pronto os presentaré. Seleccioné las imágenes más adecuadas para esta publicación y aquí os las muestro, saludos amigos.

Los churros españoles son una delicia, nosotros tenemos también en argentina, pero son como postre de verano o de playa, un clásico relleno de dulce de leche. Nada que ver con el churro con chocolate de ustedes 🤤 Saludos, buenas fotos, mi favorita fue esta 😊

Veo que los conoces bien, jaja, si la verdad es que es para enamorarse, eso sí sin pasarse mucho que se queda uno como una boa constrictor si le metes demasiada caña, jaja. Saludos amiga desde este lado del charco. @littlesorceress

Querido, tus fotografías describen perfectamente el momento, tanto que puedo oler la fritura mezclada con el dulce aroma del chocolate, la cremas y el café...
Que combinación mas deliciosa, café con churros!
