Good day community

The musical concert that those geometric tubes of the fountain played escaped all kinds of instruments that I have heard so far. He had heard the sound and the notes that different measures of water produce in the cups or glasses due to physical laws and acoustics. Also the sound of the well-known wind organs with those huge tubes of different sizes that when blowing produce a mixture of different notes similar to other musical instruments, both wind and percussion. That fountain located in the city of Plasencia, in the province of Cáceres, was something that was out of all that I have seen in terms of ways of making musical pieces with various mixed artistic components.

Masterfully aligned from highest to lowest, leaving equal spaces between each tube and in turn with a diameter of the width of the same chosen and millimeters specially shaped for this purpose. When I got to the fountain this effect was not noticeable since at that time it was not connected to the water supply. My biggest surprise was when it started to work emitting those sounds. It was something really incredible since we could not only hear the sound of the pumped water coming out of the mouth of each tube, but also a combination of hits and falls, splashes and energy that gave it that masterful touch.

To those of you who have never heard a concert of a single instrument based on pipes and water, I suggest you visit this fountain because it will really surprise you. I immediately began to photograph it from different angles to give you a clear example of what it is. I dedicate this series precisely to this show of live sound, movement, dance and contrast for all the curious and lovers of beautiful works of art and ingenuity as is the case with this precious fountain.

I sat on the stones that surrounded it on both sides of it, lost in thought and mesmerized by the sounds coming from all directions. It was that ensemble that made that piece of music such a special sensation of being in front of something changing, a piece that never sounds the same, no matter how long you are listening to its sounds, you will never hear any repeated. Due to the pressure of the water, the drop, the hit, the splash and the physical effects of the water and being is something that comes out of any instrument I have heard so far.

Plasencia is a beautiful town located in the autonomous community of Extremadura, in Spain. The city has many charms, it is historic, a gateway to cultures and it is located in a privileged location at the foot of important mountain ranges. I will tell you that when I took these photographs I also took a walk through those beautiful historical landscapes, medieval walls, palaces and a cathedral that is a jewel in Europe.

@oscarps Fuente musical .
