Good day community

As is the tradition in the city of Cáceres, the medieval market is celebrated in this month of November. Taking advantage of this circumstance, I set out to explore the streets full of various stalls to try to capture specific moments and situations that are a clear example of what happens in this market. The tour is full of surprises and the number of people who visit this event these days never ceases to amaze me. It is very pleasant to be able to see so much variety and quality in the products that are exhibited and sold, many of which are a clear example of sustainable crafts and trade.

A quantity and quality in these pieces, be it fabrics, soaps, jewelry, goldsmiths, ornaments, lamps, suits and dresses that leave passers-by and visitors totally absorbed by this variety. The colours, smells and details are multiplied depending on which areas of the market route you are in. Aromas of soaps and incense, perfumes with a clear oriental touch and others make it an awakening of sensations and a transport to another time and space. There is also the question that everything is prepared for this time of the Middle Ages in Europe, be it stalls or clothing of the merchants and people who participate in this event.

I honestly tell you that a single day is not enough to calmly see all this festive network of the city. The stalls multiply in different streets on the perimeter of the old city and some cross the very heart of the Historic Center. I hope you like this series that I bring you of images, greetings.

Como es tradición en la ciudad de Cáceres se celebra el mercado medieval en este mes de noviembre. Aprovechando esta circunstancia me lanzo a recorrer las calles llenas de puestos diversos para tratar de capturar momentos concretos y situación que sean un claro ejemplo de lo que sucede en este mercado. El recorrido está lleno de sorpresas y no deja de sorprenderme la cantidad de gente que visita estos días este acontecimiento. Se hace muy ameno poder ver tanta variedad y calidad en los productos que se exponen y venden muchos de los cuales son un claro ejemplo de artesanía y comercio sostenible.

Una cantidad y calidad en estas piezas ya sea telas, jabones, joyas, orfebrería, artículos de adorno, lámparas, trajes y vestidos que dejan a los paseantes y visitantes totalmente absorbidos por esta variedad. Los colores, olores y detalles se multiplican en según qué zonas del recorrido del mercado te encuentres. Aromas de jabones e inciensos, perfumes con claro toque oriental y otros hace que sea un despertar de sensaciones y un transportarse a otro tiempo y espacio. Queda además la cuestión de que todo está preparado con motivo de esta época del Medievo en Europa, ya sea puestos o ropaje de los comerciantes y personas que participan en este evento.
Sinceramente os digo que un solo día no alcanza para ver con calma todo este entramado festivo de la ciudad. Los puestos se multiplican en diferentes calles en el perímetro de la vieja ciudad y algunos atraviesan el corazón mismo del casco Histórico.
