Good day community

Walking through the streets of some of our cities, you can find moments and images that accurately reflect their character. In this series I present a vision of the city of Plasencia located in the province of Cáceres in Extremadura, Spain. The objective of this series is to show some aspects of this city from a daily point of view. The photographs are taken starting one day and focus on scenes from the old part of this town, some of these photographs are also taken in the shopping streets, tapas or wine streets and all of them directly access its main square. In many of our towns and cities it is a meeting place, for business, for chats over coffee, for tourist visits and for other options that these beautiful squares present.

When I walk through these urban landscapes I like to pay attention to the many details that can be seen in each of the corners I pass through. The daily lives of many of us are reflected in simple photographic captures and the accompanying structures, buildings and special architecture make them memories with a special human character. The options that I usually have is to take images where there are no people, just to focus the view on the specific place, on its businesses, on the colors of its facades or on details of the architecture of these streets. Another important option is to capture these images as scenes of something everyday. Taking advantage of the movement of some people, or moments such as rest, having a coffee on a terrace or a chat with friends.

Street photography requires some points to keep in mind when taking pictures. Many times the movement of people or objects, the shots to choose or the specific situations vary and are changing, hence you have to be attentive to the precise moment of the shot to find that composition. Try to focus well what is intended, although sometimes, and later in the photographic edition, the parts that we want to emphasize as important can be improved, cropped or sized. Once again I make use of some editing techniques that have become a small personal hallmark in the way of artistically creating an image in photo editing.

With each process I follow a work rhythm. First of all, taking the image, going out, searching, traveling, moving, this requires significant time since it is the artistic basis of a photographic work. Then, once the images have been obtained and downloaded to the computer, the selection work begins. Many of those images that I have captured are discarded because they do not come out well, they are not adequate or they simply do not convey what I am looking for. With a selection of some I begin an editing process always or almost always following the same pattern. This way of working means that the result is my own entity, my way of working with images. I do not always process the images in the same way, this depends on what objective I am looking for or what purpose.

Honestly, it is one of the photographic capture jobs that I like the most because it involves several actions together. Strolling, mixing with life in the streets, enjoying specific moments and above all portraying situations that in my way of seeing and feeling are important to keep as a memory or experience.
