Who Are Venture CaPitalist? by @readthisplease

pick1.png

It looks that venture capitalists is the new buzzword in crypto lately... I'm trying to be open-minded for most of the stuff, but the thing with these "popular words" in a certain time period is killing me... :) We said before phrases such as "institutional money", then "BTC maximalist", or non-crypto words like (covid) "experts", and after that, we got experts for everything (lol), etc... I mean, they still exist, but they were "overused" for a certain period of time...
It's the same with VC... It's like they didn't exist before in crypto? It's just another mainstream narrative that is forced on us...
Btw, thanks for the explanation! It's important to know these terms... ;)

Custodial & Non-custodial Wallets: Not Your Keys Not Your Coins by @rufans

pick2.png

My pick is, of course, non-custodial wallets! I wouldn't even call a custodial wallet a wallet... It's the same as your money in the bank... It's not your money as it's not in your wallet... At any moment, "your" money can be blocked, erased, confiscated, etc...

Another Drop in the Retirement Bucket: Crypto Gaming as an Investment by @metzli

pick3.png

The risingstar game is perfect to learn how blockchain games work. It's quite simple to play but it can also become profitable. I've been playing for more than 14 months and I can withdraw about 3$ every week. Taking into account that I reinvest the other 90% of my income in the game, it could be close to 30$ income per week! Not too bad for such a game 🙂

Bringing Babies Birds Home by @zellypearl

When I saw your first photo, I thought that those were corn seeds! :) :)
They are so tiny and, of course, so cute... Good luck with breeding!

I followed the author who writes about raising broilers, poultry, as such, because I believe that soon most people will have to look towards agriculture, not at all as a consumer but as a person, who will make agriculture their own life.

I believe that soon most people will have to look towards agriculture

Oh, that's coming for sure! The migration of the population from big cities back to the countryside... It's already happening in some parts of the world...

I think that this is not a tragedy, it should become normal and then people will forget about most of the problems.

It is happening here in the US and making cities that used to be "cheap" to live in just as expensive as the "big" cities.

I think it is better though, to spread us out a bit and take some of the pressure of the big places.

I am over here starting a home garden because I believe that the only way to fight the power is to have the ability to feed yourself, even if you live in the City.

Now I know a home garden won't feed my whole family from the first season, but I am hoping to get good enough at growing so that I have enough veggies to trade.

One season cannot be an indicator. Most likely, you will have to reconsider the breed of chickens, broilers eat too much feed and their price will be comparable to the price in the store with the only difference, there will be no antibiotics in your bird, if this is important for you. But, I am inclined to believe that any bird needs tyrapy, otherwise, losses cannot be avoided. This also applies to the fence. Plant nutrition is necessary, and organic farming is good, but not profitable in the early years, until you gain experience in choosing varieties suitable for your conditions.

Aw man. I am in a big city.

I have tomatoes and feel lucky about that.

I wonder how much things would have to change before I could get some chickens around here.

Thank you for the highlight!

I am working on creating "outward facing content" and I really struggled (ok minorly struggled) with the piece you highlighted.

It doesn't matter how long you are on the blockchain for, it always feels good to get a little acknowledgement.

Your post was @achim03 pick, but I did check it... :) I'm playing the game for over a year and I have to admit that I like it more than Splinterlands which I'm playing for over 3 years... lol... I do that on my "gaming account" @cryptofiloz
Less stress and I would say, more earnings in Rising Star at my levels... I have just recorded a short video with tips for choosing missions to do... will upload it today or tomorrow... after editing...

My advice is... Be stubborn, and use every minute during the day to have missions going on :)

I like it better than splinterlands too!

But I do like that splinterlands is paying me even if I am not playing by giving me airdrops in all their other projects.

I'm starting to stake on records in risingstar - its a little addictibg.
