Con motivo de iniciarse en pocos días, la temporada de béisbol profesional venezolano es importante analizar el papel que pueda realizar cada equipo, y es que las Águilas del Zulia de la mano de manager de Rouglas Odor por segundo año consecutivo, buscarán alzar el vuelo que las clasifique al round-robin, objetivo que no lograron la campaña pasada, luego de ser eliminados en la primera etapa quedando cuartos en la tabla de posiciones de la división occidental.
Uno de los puntos que buscará fortalecer el conjunto Rapaz, es el pitcheo abridor porque el año pasado de 19 triunfos que obtuvieron, los abridores solo ganaron tres, el resto los ganó el cuerpo de relevistas, por eso para esta 2021- 2022 ya se hicieron de los servicios de dos importados; Braulio Torres quien jugó en México para los Pericos de Puebla, tuvo marca de 3-5, con 5.18 de efectividad en rol de abridor y también trabajó en una liga independiente, Arik Sikula es el otro brazo importado que tiene experiencia en la liga con Caribes y Bravos; viene de lanzar en la Atlantic League con el Sommerset que es liga más competitiva de las ligas independientes de Norteamérica, donde dejó marca de 10-7, con 4.31 de efectividad en la Atlantic, Ponchó a 101 y otorgó 32 boletos en 131.2 innings, el resto de los abridores de una posible rotación de 5, pudieran ser para iniciar la campaña, Elvis Araujo, César Jiménez, Luis Moncada y Yohan Pino.
La ofensiva debería estar comandada por Ali Castillo, Humberto Arteaga, Alex Romero, Ángel Reyes entre otros; de mantener el ritmo del año anterior, combinado a la buena labor de los abridores, más las incorporaciones de algunos grande ligas y el buen relevo del cerrador Silvino Bracho, las Águilas deberían estar dando la pelea en el round robin para estar en la final, instancia a la que no llegan desde la 2016-2017 cuando ganaron el título ante Cardenales de Lara de la mano de Lipso Nava como manager.

Los Leones del Caracas después de presumir de los 20 títulos, no han ganado más una final desde la 2009-2010 cuando derrotaron a su eterno rival Navegantes del Magallanes, y en la última a la que lograron llegar fueron derrotados en 5 juegos por los Cardenales de Lara 4-1 en la 2018-19.
En estos últimos años son muchas las especulaciones con respecto al cambio de dueños del equipo, luego de una temporada 2020-2021, los Leones no clasificaron a la segunda ronda y tuvieron el peor registro de la liga con 15 ganados y 25 perdidos, para esta campaña dentro de sus planes tienen previsto una restructuración total del conjunto y para ello contrataron como a José Alguacil como manager, Lipso Nava como coach de banca y Wilson Álvarez, coach de pitcheo, un trío de entrenadores que tendrán la tarea de dar oportunidad a jóvenes de desarrollarse e ir tomando el rol protagónico dentro la organización, en los planes del caracas esta ir llevando poco a poco a los veteranos es decir estos no van recibir muchas oportunidades de juego.
Luis Ysla, Eduardo Paredes, Andrés Pérez, son tres lanzadores que aspiran tener en la rotación de abridores que solo ganó 4 juegos la campaña pasada de la mano de, Frank López que ganó 2, Carlos Quevedo(1) y Eduar Reyes (1), la ofensiva va a estar en las nuevas adquisiciones Miguelangel Sierra, de 23 años, campocorto, César Valera, de 29, infielder; Erick Castillo, de 28 años, receptor y los jardineros Leandro Cedeño, también de 23 años, quien también puede jugar en la inicial, y Anthony Jiménez, de 25 años que dejó buen registro ofensivo en la reciente liga de verano en en Venezuela a este se le suma Alexander Palma otro jardinero que tiene fuerza y para comandar el pitcheo a un referente como Miguel Socolovich con este grupo en buenas condiciones y rindiendo el mánager debutante, José Alguacil, espera dar el golpe en la mesa y romper con los pronósticos, sin embargo y particularmente yo, no veo a los Leones en el round robin, amanecerá y veremos, saludos, exitos y bendiciones.

La tiene muy cuesta arriba, por el tema de la reestructuración, aunque cuenta con un material joven con el que pudiera la próxima temporada estar de vuelta en los papeles protagónicos.
Yo confio en que todos esos cambios van a tener un impacto positivo en el equipo. @ovelperez82
