Yeah, born during his rule, and spent all of my life there. (Not counting few days of travel in some years.)

The word I've heard in America is that he was actually doing good things for his country.
For the majority of people including me, that's a total "Yes!"
But he wouldn't have been killed so horribly if everyone thought that. Whether they wanted power or a different order than what he established.
One thing is clear, we went worse & worse each year after his death.
