Beware readers who only understand English. This is post is a sane mumbling from a man who likes to write confuse and trick texts. You will see bizarre things. You have been warned. If you desire to continue, I hope you can have the power to survive until the end with a whole mind.

Note: I know that the challenge proposed by @caluman has already passed the deadline, but as I had already written this text I decided to post it anyway.

Power is a complex and extensive subject. I could and I will write several texts about it.

For now, I just want to write this text about the types of power, a little bit about how to get/exercise some of them, and which ones I want to have.

But before that, I wanted to highlight one or two things.

As @hranhuk spoke in his text for the challenge, power in Portuguese is also a verb, and this change very much the way we (and perhaps for other Portuguese speakers, I don’t know, I can’t speak for other countries, I can speak more of Brazil) see the concept of power. In English, Poder is a similar “verb” to can, and we see power as strength, ability, thing, status, etc.

So, maybe my translated text will be confusing, but I hope you can understand.

I think that it is important to say, quickly, that we also have a phrase in Brazil that many parents say to their kids: “Querer não é poder” (in a literal translation it would be “To want is not can”). but, here, poder(that can be translated to power), is used as a verb. This quote is used when a child wants something, but the parents don’t want or cannot give it. I’ll explore it another day, for now, I just mentioned it for reflection.

Therefore, I will focus on the purpose of the text.

There are countless types of power, but I will talk about those that interest me the most or that I consider important.

Power to have power or Power to can.

(yes, I’m talking like Tarzan, no, I don’t know how to use cipós to jump into the jungle, yet).

The first power that I think is important, is the power to have power. To be able to do things, to be able not to do, to be able to do things, to be able to have power, to be able to be able. I certify that everyone at the primary level wants this power, we need the power to able to do or have something. Many people wanted the power to be able to have certain feelings, many people wanted to have the power to be able to have certain things, but without power, they can’t, or, they don´t have power(hah!). Ok, you will stop here, I think I made my point and this is beginning to be very confusing. I, like other people, want to have the power to be able(or the power to have power), and I know that having it is necessary to have certain powers.

Power of kindness

The second power is the power to be kind. In my view, it's futile to have other powers and use them to oppress, manipulate and hurt people.

Obviously, this does not mean not being firm. It is possible to be kind and firm. It is possible to be kind and human and to exercise authority, I would say more, it's necessary. This power, like others, is stronger in some people than in others, it is because of creation and example, or genetics, but I believe that it can be obtained in the course of life. It is a power that I also want to have.

Power of influence

This power does not exist alone, and it connects with several other powers, such as the political or the religious. It depends a little on financial power, mental and/or physical power. It also has to do with being able to be able(pt-br: poder poder). If you can't do much, you are unlikely to be an influential person.

Influence can be built, it can be aggressive or subtle. It can be forced or yielded. Some people have more influence because they have more innate attributes, such as beauty, or appearance, and physiques that appeal to human feelings, others acquire influence with training, obtaining wealth, social positioning, and using knowledge and strategy, among other ways.

Abusing and showing abusively the power of influence can diminish it, as people do not always like to recognize that they are being influenced. The influence can be positive, in the sense of supporting and strengthening people, or it can be harmful, in the sense of generating intrigue, discord, pain, and suffering. It is almost impossible to make certain things happen without the power of influence. It is a power that I want to have, mainly to support people and strengthen them.

Physical power

This power is related to the basics of the human physique, like walking, running, moving, but it can also be expanded through exercise and training, making some people stand out in some areas related to physical movements, such as sports, dance, and such. The sooner and more constantly you develop and use this power, with conscience and care, the more you get. It is a power that can also be used negatively, to attack people, or to commit crimes. Not all people want it because it is a power that tends to take time to develop when there is no genetic tendency to do so, and requires many sacrifices. It can also be said that it is a power of the individual scope. You can have it just for you and many people don't even know about it. This is a power that I also seek, more for me than for any other purpose.

Mental power

This is a power that is related to several others. It can be developed in different ways, through study, through training, through experiencing extreme situations. It is a power that if the search fails, or if you lose it completely, it can put everything else at risk. It is also a power that if one reaches other powers, but does not have this one, it can cause great misfortune. A person who is out of control or mentally weak in power can condemn one or more nations and their people. An uncontrolled or mentally weak person can use physical strength, or the power of influence, to oppress other people. It is a power that can also have great individual use, without necessarily being used in relation to other people or in the world, there are many mentally strong people who live and die without ever becoming known. It is also a power that attracts me.

We can say that this power is the power of the brain, another kind of POB.

Religious power.

Well, it obviously has to do with religions. It can be used for good, or for evil. It doesn't attract me.

Political power

It is as the name says too. It has to do with the political field. Be it institutional or not. It doesn't appeal to me either.

Financial power

In a society where the capital predominates, not having a minimum of financial power limits a lot of what you can do. Some people have this power in excess, others have little. Much could be said about this, but I will explore it another time. I just want to say that I want to have enough of this power to be able to move around the world without being extremely dependent on other people and being held hostage by necessity.

And this is a little overview of some powers.

There are several other types of power in the world, the power of love, the power of forgiving, the power of gratitude, the power of restart, the power of persistence, the power of humility, etc., each person has his preferences and affinities with each one.

I could talk about them now, but the text would be more extensive than it was, and I will address it at other times.

It's necessary to always remember that power is a complex thing, it can be given away, it can be acquired, it can come and go, some are temporary, some are shallow and are erased with time, others are deep and can have echoes for generations, for better or for worse.

We are usually used to seeing power as something bad, or as something of a fantasy, but if we can see these powers cited as powers similar to power talked in fantasies, see them as abilities, we can do a lot of things differently.

The human being has the power to have different powers and to do great things with them, and it is a matter of believing, and knowing, knowing what we have, knowing how to use it, when, how, and why. People who are aware of this, dominate more than the world, dominate themselves, and this is one of the greatest powers that exists!!

Obs: sei que o desafio proposto por @caluman já passou do prazo, mas como havia escrito o texto, acredito ser interessante compartilhar.

Poder é um tema complexo e extenso. Poderia e vou escrever diversos textos sobre.

Só o que eu quero falar nesse texto é sobre tipos de poder, um pouco de como obter/exercitar alguns deles, e quais eu quero ter.

Mas antes, queria destacar uma coisa.

Como o @hranhuk falou em seu texto para o desafio, poder em português é também um verbo, e isso muda muito a forma como nós(e talvez para outros falantes da lingua portuguesa, não sei, não posso falar por outros países, mas do Brasil me arriscarei), lidamos com o conceito de poder “verbo” similar ao can, e poder como força, habilidade, coisa, status, etc.

Então talvez o texto ficará confuso, mas tentem entender se puderem.

Acredito que é importante falar, de forma rápida, sobre uma frase que temos no Brasil que muitas mães e pais falam para os filhos: “Querer não é poder”(Em uma tradução literal seria “Wanting is not may/can”. Frase bem usada quando uma criança quer algo, mas os pais não querem ou não podem dar. Dá para explorar isso bem, mas deixarei para outro dia, por enquanto só a citei para reflexão.

Então voltando ao propósito do texto. Existem inúmeros tipos de poder, mas falarei dos que mais me interessam ou que considero importante.

Poder de poder

O primeiro poder que considero importante, é o poder de poder. Poder fazer coisas, poder não fazer, poder de ter coisas, poder ter poder, poder poder. Acredito que todo mundo, a nível primário, quer esse poder, precisamos ter o poder de poder fazer ou ter algo. Muita gente quer poder ter certos sentimentos, muita gente quer poder ter certas coisas, mas por não terem poder, não podem. Ok, vou parar por aqui, que para brasileiros deve estar ficando muito confuso. Eu, assim como outras pessoas, quero poder poder, e sei que para isso é necessário ter certos poderes.

Poder da gentileza

O segundo poder é o poder de ser gentil. Na minha visão, não adianta nada ter outros poderes, e usá-los para oprimir, manipular e machucar pessoas. Obviamente isso não significa não ser firme. É possível ser gentil, e ser firme. É possível ser gentil e humano, e exercer autoridade, e diria mais, é preciso. Esse poder, assim como outros é mais forte em algumas pessoas do que outras, seja por causa da criação e exemplo, ou pela genética, mas acredito que pode ser treinado ao longo da vida. É um poder que também quero ter.

Poder da influência

Esse poder não existe sozinho, e se conecta com vários outros poderes, como o político ou o religioso. Depende um pouco do poder financeiro, do poder mental e/ou físico. E também tem a ver com poder poder. Se você não puder muita coisa, dificilmente você será uma pessoa influente.

A influência pode ser construída, pode ser agressiva ou sutil. Pode ser forçada ou cedida. Algumas pessoas possuem mais influência por terem atributos mais inatos, como beleza, ou aparência e físicos que apelam para sentimentos humanos, outras adquirem com treino, obtenção de riqueza, de posicionamento social, com conhecimento e estratégia, etc.

Ostentar o poder da influência pode diminuí-la, pois as pessoas nem sempre gostam de reconhecer que estão sendo influenciadas. A influência pode ser positiva, no sentido de apoiar e fortalecer pessoas, ou pode ser nociva, no sentido de gerar intrigas, discórdia, dor e sofrimento. É quase impossível fazer certas coisas acontecerem sem o poder da influência. É um poder que quero ter, principalmente para apoiar pessoas e fortalecê-las.

Poder físico

Esse poder está relacionado com o básico do físico humano, andar, correr, se movimentar, mas também pode ser expandido através de exercicio e treino, fazendo com que algumas pessoas se destaquem em algumas áreas relacionadas ao movimento físico, como esportes, dança e afins. Quanto mais cedo e mais constantemente se desenvolve e se usa esse poder, mais se obtém. É um poder que também pode ser usado de forma negativa, para agredir pessoas, ou cometer crimes. Nem todas as pessoas o desejam pois é um poder que tende a se demorar para se desenvolver quando não há tendência genética a isso, e demanda muitos sacrifícios. Também pode-se dizer que é um poder de escopo individual. Você pode tê-lo só para você e muitas pessoas nem ficarem sabendo. Esse é um poder que também busco, mais para mim do que para qualquer outro fim.

Poder mental

Esse é um poder que está relacionado com vários outros. Pode ser desenvolvido de diversas formas, através do estudo, através do treino, através de vivências em situações extremas. É um poder que se a busca falhar, ou se perdê-lo por completo, pode colocar tudo o mais em risco. Também é um poder que se alguém alcançar outros poderes, mas não tiver esse, pode causar grandes desgraças. Uma pessoa descontrolada ou fraca mentalmente no poder pode condenar uma ou várias nações e seus povos. Uma pessoa descontrolada ou fraca mentalmente, pode usar da força fisica, ou do poder da influência, para oprimir outras pessoas. É um poder que também pode ter um grande uso individual, sem necessariamente ser usado em relação a outras pessoas ou no mundo, existem muitas pessoas fortes mentalmente que vivem e morrem sem nunca se tornarem conhecidas. Também é um poder que me atrai.

Nós podemos dizer que esse poder é o poder do cerebro, um outro tipo de POB(power of the brain).

Poder religioso.

Bem, obviamente tem a ver com religiões. Pode ser usado para o bem, ou para o mal. Não me atrai.

Poder politico

É como o próprio nome diz também. Tem a ver com o campo político. Seja institucional, ou não.Também não me atrai.

Poder financeiro

Numa sociedade em que o capital predomina, não ter um minimo de poder financeiro limita muito o que se pode fazer. Algumas pessoas tem excesso, outras tem pouco. Muito poderia ser dito sobre isso, mas explorarei em outros momentos. Só quero ter o suficiente para poder transitar pelo mundo sem depender de forma extrema de outras pessoas e ser refém da necessidade.

Existem vários outros tipos de poder no mundo, o poder do amor, o poder de perdoar, o poder da gratidão, o poder do recomeço, o poder da persistência, o poder da humildade, etc., cada pessoa tem suas preferências e afinidades com cada um. Poderia falar sobre eles agora, mas o texto ficaria mais extenso do que ficou, e serão abordados em outros momentos. Poder é uma coisa complexa, pode ser cedido, pode ser adquirido, pode ir e vir, alguns são temporários, alguns são rasos e ficam apagados com o tempo, outros são profundos e podem ter ecos em gerações, para o bem ou para o mal.

Geralmente estamos acostumados a enxergar poder como algo ruim, ou como algo da fantasia, mas se pudermos enxergar esses poderes citados como poderes similares ao das fantasias, como habilidades, podemos fazer muita coisa de forma diferente. O ser humano tem o poder de ter diversos poderes, e fazer grandes coisas com eles, e é questão de acreditar, e de saber, saber o que temos, saber como usar, quando, como e porquê. As pessoas que tem noção disso, dominam mais que o mundo, dominam a si mesmas, e esse é um dos maiores poderes que existed!!
