Yes, they are similar in some way.

I have some attachments to some of the books. Cornwell and Brett I started to read in a messy moment of my life, and they could give me a distraction from some things. At first, I stumble to read Cornwell(like I say to a friend this week: Bernard is inexorable), but when I got the rhythm... I read a lot of his books. I'm waiting for the Last Kingdom story close to buying the books. The collection in Brasil has a nice set of covers.

Yes, Brett has a nice flow but its messy sometimes. I want to be a writer and I learn a lot with him and others, what to do and what don't do...

Weeks I read the books a time ago, and I need to read again, I read his books less than I read the other books of the other two(I read at least three or four times each, yes, I do this).

I like Patrick Rothfuss books too. And the Malazan books. And... well, I like a lot of books and authors.

I like Rothfuss, too. I don't remember Malazan, but I remember trying a book from Erikson. But I couldn't get past the first chapter. Maybe I'll try again one day. I'm reading the Lightbringer series for the second time right now. I tried reading Brett a second time, but I just realized how much it relies on the worldbuilding. Already knowing the world, ruined the book for me. The story just isn't written well enough. Weeks on the other hand is great. I'm pretty far into the second book and the pages just fly by.

Erikson is hard read too, man, I hate it so much in the beginning, I dropped one time, but them, later, I was scrolling trough some books and decided to give the story another chance, and when I arrive in the middle of the first book "BOOM", holly sheet, a lot of action, strategy, humor, and such. I learned a lot with the books. Now I want to buy a tablet to read the others. I read the first in a tablet, but is old, I buy it in 2010, and a few months ago it died in my hands, may is OS rest in pieces.
