OVERVIEW

The Takedown is a movie that is entertaining, educating, action, comedy, romantic and erratic etc. It triggers a displays of a world that racism, pretending, bribery, terror is a daily occurrence. A you’ve black cop becomes a sensation in the society after showcasing is potential in the ring by defeating a Mixed Martial Art fighter in the ring when he tried to resist arrest. Ousmane is a cop that have a great self control when dealing with opposite gender unlike Cop Francois, his pair. The Takedown will have been a movie that does not need any parental guidance if some of the nude were remove (about three). Most especially, the sense that Cop Francios peeped at Mr Cheffe daughter taking her bath. Ousmane commitment in his service remains a personality that should be considered as a role model for young ones that are eager to join the police force.

That’s the chanting statement fearless Cop Ousmane Diakité made after defeating a strong Mixed Martial Art fighter in a ring fight alone even before the troop that is colleagues Dijomi called arrived. The video clip of him fighting the MMA fighter spark lot of interest to an extent that it had over 500,000 views across. This forced the Paris police to used Cop Ousmane Diakité as the face of the National Police Force of Paris in a comic. An act that will make him more popular on social media —— Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter etc and attract young people to join the force. But Ousmane felt complex about this action because he is a black man.

The storyline that match the title is unleashed from 20mins Ousmane was pair with Cop Francois Monge after a decade of apart. A talkative police officer that is always distract whenever he sees opposite gender (called that a womanizer) and total opposite of Ousmane character. The two cops met at rail station when the death body of Kevin Marshal was discovered in a train with an unknown cause of death and took an investigation along side Miss Alice.
In their quest to find out the truth, the heard off to small town with the help of Alice been their tour guide. During the process, Alice showed up some fake feelings for Ousmane by getting his digits. Francois been a womanizer wanted to take the opportunity of offering his number too but was technically snubbed with a --- No, it’s fine ....response.

Out of the location, the proceed to meet Late Kevin’s mother. There, they were able to gather more fact about Kevin and even got to know about a girl that he likes hanging out with. In the plot, Kevin was into drugs crime (manufacturing an supply) for a cabal secret group known as Sons of Clovis. A group that was terrorism group that is head by Mayor Antoine Brunner. Kevin was killed after rebelling against the Sons of Clovis terrorism plan attacks. Which make his efforts to reach out to Ousmane Diakité through Cop Mercier on a call futile because Mercier is a secret member of Sons Of Clovis.
All success to their investigation boiled down when they cop met Cheffe De La Crim who happens to be a suspect at his restaurant and decided to interrogate him at his residence. Cheffe, commanded them to get out of his compound before he charges them for harassment.

Ousmane and Francois didn’t relent their efforts so they decided to follow up Cheffe. On their way, they were attacked with black Chevrolet Jeep. The aim of the attack was to push them off the rock bridge but the luckily, the cops out powered the attackers by throwing tears gas into their vehicle followed by some shots which lead to tumbling of the vehicle off the bridge.
The attack painted a clear evidence that Mr Cheffe is involve in Kevin Marshal death so the Ousmane and Francios returned to his resident, sneaked in and escaped the dog’s alert into the rooms. Takedown became more funny when Cop Francois was almost caught in the resident after he mistakenly matched a toy that make a noise and when he was caught by Ousmane while he was peeping Cheffe daughter taking her bath.

At Cheffe resident, the discovered his private space. There, they were able to know the location of Sons Of Clovis and rushed to it immediately which happened to be a warehouse. At the location, Ousmane and francios noticed that they terrorist dropped their guns at their vehicles. The met Cheffe addressing them with courageous words like;

Resistance is not just enough. It is time to attack. We set the world on fire.

The cop split themselves into two. While Ousmane was busy disposing their guns, Francois tried to distract the group with some tricks of hold a bomb but he was exposed by a woman so the group started attacking him.
On the other side, Ousmane is delayed by Alice in combat. A woman that he thought was on his side. After series of few dodges, he out power Alice and handcuff. Then rushed back to Francois after hearing him screaming his name.

The cop battled the terrorist group and Cheffe escaped the warehouse to the migrants through the help of Alice who happed to break off the handcuff. The migrant is populated region that he wanted to detonated a bomb that he planted. Luckily for the residents, Ousmane and Francois arrived and evacuated everyone successfully before the bomb exploded.
The cop survived even though they were inside the building when the bomb exploded. The police troops arrived and arrested Mr Cheffe and took Alice away on a stretcher.

CINEMATOGRAPHY

Louis Leterrier who plays the role of Cop Francios Monge in the movie took the role of directing the a 1:59 minutes duration movie at France on March 2021 in a production company known as Mandarine et Compagnie. A movie that will focus on both Action and comedy. The official photographing kicked off on same third week month at Franc. After a year of working, The Takedown was officially released on May 2022.
