100% HIVE POWER: The Journey Thus Far

avatar

Exactly a month ago, I decided to explore a new path in my Hive journey and started staking my Hive 100% as opposed to my previously set post reward payout at 50% HBD and 50% HP.

If you care to read why I decided to try this out, kindly refer to my post. Today’s post would highlight my 1-month experience thus far and my thoughts on whether I would be continuing on this path.

My Observations

Within this period here are a few things I have noticed since powering my hive 100%:

  1. Voting Value/Power:
The first thing I noticed was that my voting power/value has increased by 100% as well. A month ago my voting value was at 0.012 but currently, it is valued at 0.025 hive. To some people, the actual hive voting value might not be that significant but my focus here is the percentage rate at which my hive grew in the space of a month which is super tremendous growth. This clearly confirms the fact that the more hive a person stakes the higher the rate of their hive voting value and general hive growth.

  2. Curation Rewards:
My curation rewards are slightly higher as well. A month ago my post curation rewards were usually around 0.001HP to 0.005HP but are currently around 0.006 to 0.0024HP. I would like to believe there is a relationship between my voting power and my curation rewards or could it be due to my increased engagement recently? Oh well, there are clearly benefits to powering up one's hive.

  3. Resource Credit:
I remember when I started blogging on hive, I struggled with making transactions due to low resource credit. However, I realized my resource credit is more and takes a longer time to get exhausted.

Thus far the experience has been worthwhile. The beauty is in the growth process throughout the journey and I believe this is also evident in Hive’s journey as a platform on the blockchain.

Given my long-term mentality, I plan to continue powering up my Hive 100% for the next 3-months and I am curious to see how that pans out. From this 1-month experience, I am quite optimistic it would only get better going forward as the last month was a rewarding one. You are welcome to join me, let’s power up together.

Thank you for your precious time!
