EXACTLY 14 DAYS, MY BIRDS WERE DONE WITH LIFE IN THE BROODER PEN BY MOVING TO THE BIGGER PEN // LIFE OF A LIVESTOCK FARMER.
My 14days old broiler birds got vaccinated today, whole that that being done I was already setting up the bigger pen to make way for the smaller birds to come in because they were already occupying the brooder pen. The space isn't convinient for them to move freely. I have made a post how I made my bigger birds vacate the big pen to a room, disinfect it so that the smaller birds can come in.
Before moving them, I woke this morning putting a lot of things in place before they move. First thing fore most, I swept the place out with broom and packer.
After that, I laid the bed floor with the usual litter materials (sawdust). Spread it all over the floor, I used a lot of bag of sawdust because the bigger pen is a bit large.
When I was done doing that, I set up their drinkers and filled their feeders with feed and made arrangement of how the drinkers and the feeders should be.
MOVING PROCESS.
I have the necessary things, I began the moving with my big yellow rubber bowl. Picking them one after the other, seriously I think they were all ready to move.
FINALLY THEY ARE SELLING IN AFTER THEY MOVED.
After I have moved them all, they were already settling in. Though strange to some of the birds because they have spent their last 14days inside the brooder pen.
Finally, I just want to say that is the purpose of the brooder pen. For recycling process. By tomorrow, my bigger birds that vacated the bigger pen because of their reduce in numbers, will move to the smaller brooder pen. I think still have like 20 of them that are bigger birds.
