MY PEN NEEDS SOME PATCHES // LIFE OF A LIVESTOCK FARMER.
My pen is more than a year now,there are some part of the floor and wall that need to be patched. This is caused by the continuous pecking of the birds towards the wall and the floor. So the weakness of the pen is getting deep and if I don't fix it,the pen might get worst.
Tools I used.
- Shovel.
- Hand trowel.
- Dangote cement.
- A bowl.
The patching is necessary now, because I have the intention that after this batch I will do after all renovation of the pen of the floor and the wall. The patching will give me the chance to manage it till I am done rearing this batch.

Good that you were able to fix the parts. I have a coop for my chickens and the door has fallen off. The wood rotted and it is difficult to open now. It sounds like I need to follow your lead and work on my coop as well!
It's better you fix it now to curb further damage. How many birds do you have?
That is true! My kids help me with the animals and some of them are unable to even open the door at this point. I built it out of pallets, so the rains during rainy season just make it fall apart. Time for a better structure probably. In the coop I probably have around 10 chickens, but I also have some more living in a greenhouse that are getting bigger (I bought them as babies).

They are a few months I think! I forget! There are about 13 of them. I am sure some of them are roosters and I give those to my pastor. I keep the hens for eggs.
