PART 2 // THE PROCESS OF THE BROODER PEN CONSTRUCTION // LIFE OF A LIVESTOCK FARMER.
The past few days have been a busy schedule for me. It was yesterday I went to get materials that i will use for my Brooder birds ranging from my trip to the sawmill down to get planks 1 by 12, 3 light planks, 2 by 4. That was after we have made the total estimation.
PROCESSING OF THE BROODER BIRDS.
Today we started the construction as early as possible as we can. The carpenter started the building work by mensuration of all the planks, which we are really working on 90yards length of 60yards breadth.
When he was done measuring the planks into sizes,he continued by tacking the measured planks with nails and with the help of his huge hammer.
When he was done with the tacking of the planks, he went to nailed the inner planks to make the wall firm.
After we were done with all that,we proceeded to the laying the 1 by 12 planks inside the skeleton of the brooder birds.
Furthermore, after that was done we headed to covering of the net to cover 3 sides of the brooder pen. The only place not covers with the wired net is the the back that used 1 by 12 planks all through.
Finally, the roof was firstly covered with carton before we nailed the roofing sheets to prevent the birds from heat stress. The final thing we did was covering the brooder birds with carpet.
What I have constructed is a brooder birds that can contain day old birds to their 2weeks old.
