Don't Work For Money... .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 72

Almost everyone knows about the saying “Don’t work for money, make it work for you.” by Robert Kiyosaki, but this time, I would like to give a small twist to it...

I was writing about the cult syndrome in crypto a more than a week ago, and also, I wrote a bit provocative post about accumulating shitcoins and it looks that these posts aren't connected, but actually, they are...

I saw an interesting discussion today in one of the Discord channels that I follow where a guy raise valid concerns about the project, and the continuation was a slaughter house... It was that "cult syndrome" where people just can't accept the real data, which continues with denial and continuation of the same "self-destruction" attitude...

Now, let's go back to that saying from the beginning... Why is it so true? We all know the "obvious" meaning which is to invest your money to work for you, and not just work to get it and spend it... But, in my opinion, we could take another meaning to that saying too... We shouldn't idolize money and put it into the epicenter of our lives... If we do that, we get emotionally connected to it, which leads to blindness to the outer world... Creating a bubble, or better said, creating a strange connection which could be compared to Bilbo Baggins and the ring from the LOTR movies... :)

That leads to the "death spiral" in your investments as you CAN'T see red lights at all... You will rather "kill the messenger" than accept the "bad news" and improve your investment... Unfortunately, this happens a LOT among investors, but also among developers, project creators, CEOs, etc...

I don't know why I shared this story with you as it isn't connected with the pool, but you can maybe find some use for it...

Maybe we can implement this to our WORKERBEE:BEE pair and revise occasionally our investment... The truth is that the BEE price is going down slowly, but it could be the "macro effect" as I didn't find anything else in fundamentals that are changed... On the other side, WORKERBEE is holding more than good lately, keeping the price stable with a very low supply...

What about the bonus?
Last week I have distributed tokens from Splinterlands, this week it's time for another great game on HIVE, the Rising Star, and their tokens STARBITS! Yes, the price went down a bit, but with games' tokenomics price is a very variable thing... Just one small change or addition to the game can shoot the price up (or down)... It happened many times with both mentioned games and it can easily happen again... Anyways, if you don't want to HODL tokens that you will get, you can sell them on the markets whenever you want... ;)

I will distribute 60000 STARBITS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... There will be distributed 128 BEE tokens and 60000 STARBITS tokens as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 8.209%, and when we added the bonus it went up to 9.550%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the current prices...

On one hand, I do appreciate people sharing negative news to warn others, on the other hand, there are also others spreading FUD or half-truths based on rumours and I think this group is not being responsible. I browse Twitter daily and I felt there's a lot of misinformation out there, i.e. anyone can just tweet anything behind a keyboard/mobile phone.

Oh, man... Twitter is the worst! I check maybe 1-2 tweets per day, and if I go to the comments, it's just crazy... So, I rather stay away from there... And I completely agree with you about half-truths over there... That's pure spreading FUD!
I was talking about Discord and HIVE, where people from the community raise valid concerns... As we are all part of the same community everyone's interest is that we succeed, so it's more like constructive criticism... Trying to escape from the reality usually doesn't finish well...

It's easy to catch this 'cult syndrome' actually. Maximalism is a form of 'cult syndrome'. Be around the same people and read the same information for a long time and you're almost guaranteed to catch it. Although some still remain receptive to logical arguments opposed to the "cult's" line of thought.

It is contagious and in some way understandable... But, I can't understand when someone can't acknowledge facts and accept reality... It's like that saying from the movie... "can't handle the truth"
