It was another crazy day today... I have thought that after taking a break yesterday, my day today will be calmer, but I was wrong... Obviously... Maybe that is the problem when you are coworking with someone else and you are competing to not be the "lazier guy"...

Anyways, in all rush today, I had time to check out the fantastic post by @khazrakh about transparency and trust, where he mentioned our project @liotes, but that wasn't the main point...

He was writing about the problems of anonymity on the one side, and transparency on the other side... These two things look so opposite, but actually, they have a lot of sense... In the world of anonymity, it's hard to build trust, but HIVE is different... Hive has names, usernames, history, footprints, building a brand, an image...

Great leaders are willing to sacrifice the numbers to save the people. Poor leaders sacrifice the people to save the numbers.

I have picked up this quote because of the importance of the people, relations, and interaction between them... We have all that on Hive, in tribes on Hive, and there is no bigger value than that...

I was talking today with my old friend who isn't in crypto at all, but he would like to join... In one moment he asked me "Why did you pick Hive to build your project?"

I didn't wait for a second to think about the answer as it is just simple as day... PEOPLE! COMMUNITY! You don't have those things on other blockchains... OK, you have Telegram/Discord groups around a certain coin, shilling their crypto, promoting... But Hive, but HIVE has community WRITTEN IN THE CODE!

Of course, there are people that are "on the dark side" and doing exactly what poor leaders are doing... Sacrifice the people to get rich, to save their own profits... Promoting half-dead coins just to justify their bad moves and mistakes... Pulling down others to save their own skin...

On the other side, sacrificing own profits to help others is a different story... I strongly believe that being honest and working with the community and people first, will eventually lead to fruition...

People first, and money will come... Don't worry...

YES!!! "If you build it, they will come" .... from that movie "Field Of Dreams"..(have you seen it yet? He he)....

It really is a simple answer WHY Hive is thriving (even if it tends to go under the radar at times)...community. This is what initially had me join HIVE almost 3 yrs ago...without support of good, like minded people, we have nothing...

For me personally, the warm welcome I received here has revitalized my passion for creating content & helping others...I have grown so much in ways I never fathomed I would & I will always be grateful for that! Honestly, if it had just been crypto & that is it, I would've not lasted...

And in turn, I was able to learn more about crypto & the importance of decentralization...amazing how everything is connected ;)

Exactly... and it's always hard to explain some vision, the final goal, or just a simple idea... But, that's the plan... to build, build, and the will come... Relaxed and well thought... I have a problem with the first thing, but I will get there... lol... :)

This is such a great quote!
When Leo went ahead and repaid everything people had lost because of the hacker attack, they earned my trust and that of many others as well I'd assume, something that is going to be worth way more than the monetary value in the long run.

Those pump and dumpers are a normal person's enemy. Its way too common in the stock market and crypto markets. Especially those financial experts that show up in the news.

I definitely agree. I wasn't here during the start of LEO or CTP, but the work in building the community is the reason why these tokens will thrive.

I think that both of those tribes had a focus on bringing value to people... and when you think in that way, the money comes later... We are trying to do the same with our Liotes project... It will take time, but we are working hard on it to provide value to the community that is building around...

I think it comes back to the whole "know, like, and trust" thing. If you are focused on the people, they will get to know you. If you benefit the people, they will like you. Stay true to the people, they will trust you. This will lead to a community of people that will follow you.

Agree! I was chatting with one old friend about these kinds of "tips", and everything is going back to human psychology... If you check one basic book/study on that, you will find a lot of these "tips" inside... Yes, they are more boring to read than popular books, but they have the core...

Resonates with the reasons why I stick to the platform. It's the people in it that convinced me to come back and create value in some form on the ecosystem. The recent Hive pumps aren't even convincing enough because I was spoiled with the old blockchain when it was trading above 5$. If the people I knew back from the old blockchain were no longer active I'd probably just left again.

There's some power in spending time building a community and developing relationships with people on this blockchain. A lot of stuff can be created and accomplished from simple talks over Discord and making it happen on the blockchain. It's crazy. And yes, people can't be motivated by money enough. I've seen well compensated authors go inactive at the soonest sign their usual rewards go down.

But authors that thrived even when their post rewards weren't that great still stuck around regardless of the price. This is real commitment you can't just buy out and that's what this blockchain taught me was possible.

Tbh, I don't even notice these "pumps" and it's not that I'm spoiled, or not, it just that I'm so focused on building that I don't care about the price atm...

There's some power in spending time building a community and developing relationships with people on this blockchain.

This is something that pushes me forward every single day... I have that crazy idea to create one community where all people will help each other, and push each other... I know that HIVE is one like that, but I think a bit smaller, even more, united group/community of people... I have started project @liotes with Achim just a week or two ago, and we are committed to creating a community around it where members will help each other...

It is already happening, but there is a lot more to go...
