Happy New 2022! New 1K HIVE Power Up!.:. January 1st HivePUD
The first impression is the most important! That's why I want to start this 2022 heavy! :) Yeah, I was powering up lately 1K HIVE per month, but I would like to continue doing it this whole year! As a matter of fact, to reach my ORCA rank goal by the end of the year, I will have to power up even more than 1K per month, but I hope that will pile up during the year... As I will have more HP, higher curation rewards, it should be easier toward the end of the year... But, you never know... :)
In a nutshell, I will push to get there... That's the only we can do, isn't it? To give 100% of ourselves in anything we do and hope for the best...
Probably there are much more (financially) profitable ways to earn money here on HIVE, but also outside of it, but, after 3 years here on-chain, I know the real value of HivePower... When you reward others with higher upvotes you can literally save lives! I know that for people from more developed countries this sounds ridiculous, but for someone 1-2$ upvotes mean a lot, sometimes, it means food on the table for the family...
Also, there are other ways you can use your HivePower, like delegating it to other people, helping them at the start of their Hive journey... Or support some project that is doing good things for the community, support manual curators that are checking post 24/7 rewarding quality authors... In a long run, these authors are adding huge value to the platform with unique and original content!

So, what is #HivePUD?
Just a short introduction to HivePUD... What does it mean at all? #HivePUD is shortened for the Hive Power Up Day. It's an event when Hive members power up their liquid HIVE and stop any active PowerDown! It is organized by great fellow Hivians @streetstyle and @traciyork and it is held every 1st day of a month.

I will not lie to you... It takes time to accumulate tokens... Sometimes is easier, sometimes is harder, but it needs time and it needs effort... I will soon have my 3rd HiveDay and during these 3 years I have seen a lot of people coming, leaving, but those who were here all the time prospered the most...

Wow very well said. I am a little over my comfort level for crypto investments already with splinterlands, hive, and wax. That is why I powered down 2/5 of my original so I can put it into different tribe tokens as well.

$1-$2 upvotes are a real big deal to me and I in what is supposed to be the most developed county there is. The thing is that while we're not referred to as a 3rd world country insode of this greatly developed country is some simularities to a 3rd world country. We may have water and heat and electricity, but there are so many in little areas where getting an extra $1 or 2 could mean the difference of getting todays meal or not. I live in the USA and there are areas all over the country that is full of poverty.
I long to be where you are with a huge amount of HP and I know that I will get there one day. But in the mean time I am greatful for all the $1 upvotes my posts bring me. You are one of many that I receive upvotes like that from and I thank you for your encouragement always.

Agree with you about poverty... It is everywhere, not only in "3rd world countries"... Somewhere there are more, somewhere less... The important thing is that everyone has a chance to succeed and we do have that chance here on HIVE, and blockchain technology in general...

To be an orca, that would be 50k HP right. Mad, that’s a long way to go for people like me.
I love the way you started the year. Definitely a good way. For me, I would save up some HBD and set some of my posts on 100% powerup to build little by little.
Yeah, Orca rank is around 54K and tbh, I don't have a clear idea how to do it, but I will give 100% to reach the goal!
Saving HBD is a must for some "bad days" if they come... But, in the end, it's kind of pegged fiat money and it will not earn you a lot in the long run... Don't forget about the power of crypto and that HIVE was not that long only 12c coin :)
