Send or Delegate? .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 92

I didn't want to write again about the FTX drama, but it's all over the Internet portal, forum, and HIVE, so I have to mention at least a bit... FTX was (is it still?) an exchange website, and as that, the point that you deposit funds there, make an exchange and WITHDRAW your funds... But, I do understand that they have added "other products" to the platform and "lured" people to leave their funds there... It is a common practice that other websites are doing too... But...

At the moment when you SEND your funds to someone else, those funds aren't anymore yours! It's the same thing in the real life and banks... when you deposit your cash there, it's not yours anymore... Yes, there is your name, but it's not yours... Sounds weird, and I know that people from western countries can't understand that when the building is crumbling, everyone saves their own skin... There are no guarantees, securities, etc...

So, the main flaw of FTX and other centralized entities is that they would like to do Web3, but in a Web2 manner... To do crypto, but to have control over funds, to have all the keys in their hands... That's like going one step backward... Crypto is created exactly because of that... Created to STOP abuse like that... That's why FTX has failed, and many other projects will fail... They didn't embrace the Web3 principles...

We have one huge advantage here on HIVE that many don't have an idea that it exists... It's a TOKEN DELEGATION! This pool is a perfect example of that... Nobody who is in this pool didn't send me tokens! Everyone has delegated, which means that those tokens are still in YOUR OWNERSHIP and you can get them back whenever you UNDELEGATE them... I can't (nor anyone else) can take those tokens, or stop you from getting them back! That's the real Web3, that's OWNERSHIP over your funds, but still, generating income in other places...

Back to the report numbers!

This week we lost 1 delegator, but also got another new one! Welcome, @cryptothesis! As usual, some of you guys delegated additional tokens! Thanks for doing that! Also, we have a new record of mined BEE tokens for one week! We have mined 145 tokens!!!

This POOL doesn't have fees and you actually get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?
This week, I will giveaway CTP tokens as a bonus... It is one of the oldest tribe tokens out there, I was an early "adopter" of it, and earned a lot of tokens in the early days... Most of them I have staked and didn't sell... So, here we are, giving away my earnings to you guys... :)

I will distribute 700 CTP tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... There will be distributed 145 BEE tokens and 700 CTP tokens as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 9.694%, and when we added the bonus it went up to 11.850%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the current prices... Most of you got them for a cheaper price, so probably have a much better ROI...

It is not only institutions, there is whole a lot of people who just got and digged into web2, for them to even comprehend principles of web3, let alone participate is kind of tricky.
On the other hand younger ones are not even interested that much into web2.

FTX did not fail only because of wrong principles.They were by every account simply a criminal organisation, and it blew open as they got lurked into their own safety net and got too brazen.
Powers will try to use this example for regulation on their terms, without mention of the reasons why they got into trouble in the first place.
Will be interesting to see coming weeks.

Hive...looking all of this from the perspective of Hive network participant is rather interesting as we are only affected with price fluctuations, but with nothing else beyond that. Great to be under the radar at these times.

By the way, I'm building my overal portfolio,began buying workerbee tokens as well and in very near future I will join your delegation club.

It's amazing how they will spin the story, especially this time as SBF was very close to regulators, politics, etc... For this specific case, the only side that's guilty is themselves... lol... But, as you said, they will blame crypto, which has almost nothing to do with this...

Power corrupts! As soon as individuals have a degree of power with which they can make far-reaching decisions like SBF could, things go wrong. It affects almost all areas of life, where few decide the risk for abuse is very high.
A completely different but nevertheless same example is the FIFA and the world cup in Quatar, which starts soon. The power and the money is centralized and abuse takes place and not only since yesterday.

From my point of view the only solution is decentralization, that's why we are here! and for some fun of course 😄

Exactly! Decentralization is why we are here... And I would add also the freedom of choice! In some way, I found it easier to disconnect from all things that you named in the comment, corruption, abuse, etc... Yes, crypto is connected to that stuff, but building here has a lot more sense than doing it in the old, corrupted, and rigged way... We couldn't win there at all...
Here, we have a chance!

Not only that! We now have RC delegations too. Imagine borrowing ETH for gas fees on Ethereum (and not paying it back).

That's a very important distinction between centralized entities and Hive.

Sorry to inform you, but, unfortunately, you did it wrong... I have stated at the end of the post to avoid these things, but these situations happen...

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week you will get a portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!

Anyways, your WB isn't lost... I will unstake your tokens and send them back to your account, or if you wish, I can STAKE them directly to YOUR account (what you accidentally did to mine)... The UNSTAKE process lasts 9 weeks and the tokens get back to the account every week, but only 1/9 portion...

Please let me know what have you decided... Should I send you liquid WB tokens, or STAKE to your account... (after the stake, you will be able to DELEGATE them to @ph1102 account)

I had some spare liquid WORKERBEE tokens (as your unstake will last 9 weeks to become liquid), so I staked the same amount that you did, but this time, on YOUR account... 😃
The staked tokens should be visible in your account and you will be able to DELEGATE them to @ph1102 and participate in the pool...
