I'm not one for personally setting goals in terms of quantity, but I'm at about 280 HP now. If I'd hit 500 at the end of the year, that'd be nice

This is an interesting observation... You are right about quantity, but it's easier to track our goals if we give some "numbers"... But, I do understand your point as quality is always in front of quantity...
