The DAX PAARAGON is a handy mage that costs just 2 mana but comes with an interesting ability called amplify. This low mana cost means that it can be used easily in low-mana battles.

But the ability buffs it provided to other monsters make it a good candidate even in mid-high mana cap battles. I had a level 2 unit which came with 2 speed and 3 hp.

For its low hp, I prefer to use it at the back in the lineup or rather somewhere in the middle to shield it from attacks.

Let's see how I used it in my battle. We will focus on the lineup first.

My Lineup

This is my lineup for the battle

PositionSummoner/MonstersAbilities
SummonerMother Khala+1 Health
Position 1Chaos KnightShield
Position 2Dumacke ExileSneak
Position 3Time MeddlerDodge
Position 4Temple PriestNo ability
Position 5Dax ParagonAmplify
Position 4High Priest DariusRessurect

This was a whopping 42-mana battle, so I had the utmost liberty to choose my lineup. I chose the Mother Khala as my summoner which gave all my monsters an extra health point. The ruleset was "Tis but Scratches" i.e., all monsters had the cripple ability.

In the first position, I used the Chaos Knight as she had the shield ability and is a powerful attacker that deals 3 melee damage. Also, it comes with 3 armour of its own. Also, it had decent speed... these balanced stats made it a good candidate for my tank.

In the second position, I used another heavy melee attacker, the Dumackle Exile, I could use it in this position as it comes with sneak ability that strikes the opponent from the end of the lineup. This makes it useful for adding a surprise element to my battles.

Next came the Time Meddler, a powerful mage that dealt 2 magic damage and had impressive defensive potential as well. It came with dodge ability and got 4 armour of its own. So, this was a great asset in this battle.

In the fourth position, I placed the Temple Priest, another mage who deals with powerful magic attacks. Although it doesn't comes with any ability and got low speed but I was more focused on magic damage in this battle.

Dax Paragon came in the next position, in my quest for adding more mages it was perfect. But this added only 1 magic damage, unlike others. It comes with an interesting amplify ability that can become very useful in some compositions.

Last but not least was High Priest Darius, the most powerful mage in this lineup. It deals with 3 magic attacks and comes with the ability to resurrect a dead unit from my team with 1 hp. This proved to be useful as it helped in resurrecting my Dax Paragon.

Let's talk about my strategy for this game.

My Strategy

I had a simple strategy of using heavy magic attacks while also making use of some heavy melee attackers at the front of my lineup. My magic attack proved to be very effective in this battle.

Also, my tanks in the front of the lineup held the fort beautifully while dealing a huge amount of damage to the opponents at the same time.

I will share my battle here, which I have uploaded to YouTube.

ROUND 1

Round 1 was back and forth and both teams tried to get each other's tank. My opponent used the Living Lava as their tank, but my heavy magic attack defeated it by the end of this round.

They had a couple of powerful melee attackers with sneak ability and my end of the lineup got much weaker by the end of this round. But still, I felt like I had an edge in this round.

ROUND 2

Round 2 was much better for my opponent as my Dax Paragon got stricken down but was resurrected by High Priest Darius. Later in this round, both of them got eliminated while their current tank also got beaten up badly and was lost in this round.

My tank stood there for two rounds which proved to be a mini-victory for me.

ROUND 3 & 4

Round 3 was a nightmare for my opponent. They lost two units back to back and they were in no position to win this one. In the subsequent round, the remaining two also got eliminated quickly.

Even after four rounds, my Chaos Knight was still standing, its shield ability came in very handy and granted me an easy win at the end.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

It worked very well. My defence worked well as Chaos Knight remained unbeaten till the end of the match while my other attackers eliminated their lineup quickly. I didn't expect them to focus on the end of my lineup. So... I am thinking about placing it somewhere in the middle of the lineup to shield it further from attacks.

Do you like the Dax Paragon? Why or why not?

Yes, it is one of the cheapest mages in the game so it can be used in multiple compositions easily, especially in the low-range mana battles. Its amplify ability is very useful in specific compositions. You can experiment with a lot of this unit and the uses may differ but it comes in handy for sure.

The DAX PAARAGON card costs 2 mana and does magic attacks. This is a very good card, we can use it very easily in low mana battles.

Thanks for sharing! - @lenonmc21

Excellent post very detailed, I liked the content, as you explained the battle very well. The only thing I can say is that you can improve the format, otherwise good job.
