As Stella walked back home that day, she regretted everything she has ever done that brought her to that very moment. She regretted not being patient enough, she regretted taking her mom’s advice, she regretted not listening to her friend Amanda who had pleaded with her to stay back and most importantly, she regretted leaving her house that morning.

That very morning, Stella had been doing her laundry when a friend of hers ran into her mom’s compound. She had a newspaper with her and for some reason Stella couldn’t imagine what was so important to show her that she had to run to her house that early in the morning.

But about two hours after Stella read the content of that newspaper, she found herself applying makeup on her face to go fight a battle she had once abandoned. The newspaper had the picture of her ex boyfriend on it, her ex boyfriend who she had left because of his broke state after her mother pressured her to go after a wealthy man who ended up not getting married to her after he slept with her.

According to the newspaper, her good for nothing ex boyfriend like her mother always called him, had won a lottery of about twenty million naira. When Stella angrily showed her mom the newspaper, the woman had been speechless. She knew her daughter blamed her for everything and she was right to do so. So she gave her one last motherly advise, to go get her man back.

An advise Stella had gladly accepted without thinking twice. But just as she finally located his home after asking for directions from strangers for about an hour, she rearranged her dress and knocked on his door, only to be met with the shock of her life. Her ex boyfriend had slammed the door at her face but not before revealing his bride to be to her. It was no other person but Amanda, the same lady who had pleaded with her to stay back. According to her ex boyfriend, Amanda had been there for him after Stella left. She had given him food and water and now she was going to reap the fruit of her labour same way Stella would be reaping hers. Stella had shamelessly pleaded with her ex boyfriend to take her back but he slammed the door instead.

As she walked back home, she knew the one person responsible for her misery and she swore she was going to make her pay.

Hahaha oh my! Shame on Stella's mother for giving a bad advice to her daughter and also shame on Stella for throwing away her love for money. They will surely regret their silly decision and it has just started.

Amanda was lucky enough to be in the exes' bad and good times and I don't blame her for anything. She did the right thing to care for her best friend's boyfriend while he was abandoned. They will surely enjoy the good things of life continously.

I can't imagine what Stella would do to her mum when she gets home after seeing that heart breaking and regretful scene.

Nice story, I love it 😊

-Awesome story! Stella deserved what she got! Anyone should not choose a life partner just because of Money..its a shame..Love should be the foundation of any relationship, and nobody should decide for yourself, choose which whom you think you will be happy, not because of the material things..accept your loved one whatever their condition in life..She couldn't blame her mother too..or anybody! She allowed everything to happen!

Have a blessed afternoon!🙏

Well this are nicely written words and I agree with you on her not blaming anyone.

Thank you for reading my story.

Why do mothers always advice their daughters otherwise when it comes to a broke ass man? They are always looking at the present state of the man, not thinking about what the future holds.

I am glad she learnt her lesson the hard way. I am glad the so called ex boyfriend refused her apology when she came knocking.

Like I keep saying, stick with you broke ass boyfriend because tomorrow is pregnant
