Ngozi looked lost. If not for the fact that she could see her family and friends sitting down comfortably and smiling from ear to ear, she would have thought she had walked into the wrong wedding.

“Who were all this people and what in the world is happening?” Ngozi thought to herself as she walked slowly in her wedding dress towards the priest and the handsome man in suit who were waiting for her at the alter.

One look at her face and Dave could see how confused she looked. He smiled. That was the exact reaction he had wanted from her. Him and Ngozi had met at a construction site where he had disguised himself as a laborer. While Ngozi helped her mother to sell food under a wooden shade nearby which was frequently visited by the laborers.

It was on one of those visit that Dave met Ngozi. The very first time she saw him, she felt something wasn't right. For a fact she could tell this was the first time he was working there as she knew the faces of everyone who worked at the construction site. Secondly, she could tell he hadn't been in this line of work for long because of the way his skin looked. She guessed there must be a story behind his being there and somehow became intrigued by him.

It didn't take long before they both became friends and one thing led to another and they both started dating. Dave had confirmed her thoughts, his business had crumbled after an investment he made didn't go as planned.

The duo dated for six months. And all through that six months Ngozi made sure that Dave never went hungry. Everything was going perfectly. Except for the occasionally disappearance from Dave, Ngozi was happy with her relationship.

Dave was an hard working man that she knew would go far in life if things should fall in place, and that was why she had said yes to him when he finally asked her to marry him. Dave had told her that he had some money that could be used to organize a small wedding. He had refused to collect a dime from her, saying that the wedding was his responsibility and he was going to take care of it.

“How?” Ngozi murmured to Dave as the Priest waited for them to say their vows.

“Every lady that had been in my life had always wanted something from me. It was either my money or something else but it was never love. They never loved me. And that was why I had gone an extra mile to make sure that I got the one meant for me, that I got you. You stayed by me even when you thought I had nothing. You fed me, even got me gifts Ngozi. You showed me what true love was and for that I am eternally grateful. I'm sorry I lied about who I was to you but I was on a journey to find my missing rib and I'm glad I did. I know it's a lot to take in now but all you really have to know is that your husband is a multi billionaire and that I love you so much.” Dave finished before leaning in to give her a kiss, a kiss that was filled with a lot of love and passion.
