A Peacock resting on the tree

Hi everyone
My greetings to you
Hope you are doing well

Today I want to share a few pictures captured by me during my evening walk today. It has been so many days since we have not gone out in the evening. So today I decided to take my daughter to the nearby temple. Going to the temple always make me feel more peaceful. It's always good to say thanks to the God for the infinite blessings. Dakshu too always feel happier after visiting the temple due to the sweet parsaad she get there 😂😂 only for the Parsaad she prefer to go to temple. 😂😂
So after darshan, as we were returning I found this Peacock resting on the branch of this tree. Generally many Peacocks visit the temple premises everyday may be there someone put grains for them. So earlier too I have seen this Peacock on this tree. But today the view was different as it was sitting on the branch at extreme right and so a beautiful view was formed. It looked like a painting, a beautiful painting created by nature itself. It looked beautiful so I captured a few pics to share with you all.

So here are the pics😊

Peacocks here generally drop all their colorful feathers by the festival of Diwali (Oct last or Nov starting). Then they get new feathers after dropping down all the old ones.
Peacock feathers are considered very auspicious in Hindu culture. Peacock is the national bird of India, and it is connected with Lord Krishna. If you ever see an idol of Sri krishna you will always find a peacock feather attached in his crown. So Peacocks are considered very auspicious and many people feed them with grains everyday.

Ohhh, now I understand why you commented that I can feed peacocks and they will be friendly. These pictures are lovely and the first one looks like a painting!

Can peacocks fly that high? I wonder how the bird got up so high on the tree. You are blessed with beautiful creatures in India. How's Dakhsu doing? I'm glad she loves to visit the temple if only for the parsaad! 😄

Have a pleasant evening. 🙂

Dakshu is better now, thank you for your prayers my dear @kemmyb

Yes they can fly , but they can not cross long distance in a single time.,, they fly like ground floor to first floor, then first to second.... In like peacocks and their dance and their sound.. My father feed them everyday in my village and so many peacocks visit him everyday. Even he feed dogs cats cows too...Hindu traditions are like that,, it is considered good to share your food with others ,,with humans as well as animals and birds,, even the fishes in the pond are fed. 😊😊

Thank you dear for your kind presence!
Have a fun filled weekend 😊😊

That's a beautiful tradition and I agree with. Feeding animals makes them loyal and friendly so I understand why they come around you.

Happy weekend to you too! 😊
