Hive is Alive:

Thanksgiving with family (I’m third from right) coincided with Hive’s dramatic move. The price in fiat terms has pulled back a bit since but I’ve yet to hear of a citizen of Hivelandia complaining. But during yesterday’s run up, I looked at my Hive wallet and realized that my unrealized profits over the prior 36 hours had exceeded my annual income for my last entire year of being a wage slave before retiring. Not that I would have sold if most of my holdings had been liquid rather that locked-in HP. Because it’s getting to the point where we can all ask ourselves a question. Do we have more faith in HIVE or in our local fiat?

I come down on the side of HIVE, and that’s part of why I have no plans to ever power down. Oh sure, siphon off some liquid earnings here and there for expenses (dental work and new widows for the laundry room and garage won’t wait forever). But for the long-term, HP for the win.

Countries Move to Restrict Travel from South Africa

A number of countries — including Britain, Israel, Italy and Singapore — were moving on Friday to restrict travel from South Africa and other countries in the region, a day after South African authorities identified a concerning new coronavirus variant with mutations that one scientist said marked a ‘big jump in evolution.’

Yah what a week.

It kinda felt like Doge. Having bought at .04, seeing it go all the way up to .73, missing the spike for hodling, then have it bounce back between .20 and .30, I am okay with 6-8x gains!

Exception is that HP powers all of my action on the blockchain and actually does something. So this week is even better!

Happy thanksgiving old friend. Enjoy your riches!
