Old City Plovdiv - The Hotel - Family Hotel Roots
Hello, today I want to show you around an amazing city in my country - Plovdiv, or rather its old town.
The team of the company I work for organized a team gathering to have some fun and visit a new city for us. Plovdiv is a city located in the central part of Bulgaria and it is situated on several hills called Tepeta. But I will talk more about it in another post, now I want to show you the hotel we stayed in.
It is a little treasure hidden next to the Old Town of Plovdiv.
The hotel is on 2 floors - with about 6 rooms and a roughly large restaurant area where everyone can sit and enjoy a good drink or delicious meal. The hotel often organizes various wine tasting events, but we were not there for them.
There is a small terrace off the dining room as well as terraces off several of the rooms. The hotel is non-smoking, but they do allow cigarettes to be smoked on the terraces.
It's a tarmac road up to the street, but the street itself is either cobbles or stones, depending on how you understand that paving.
The hotel has a small lobby leading to the dining room and a staircase leading to the upper floors with the rooms.
Here's the room my colleague and I stayed in. It had 2 beds, 2 toilets, a big mirror behind the door, and a TV. The hotel provides hair drying facilities, but they are not in every room but are located on the landing between floors.
Our room also had the largest bathroom and toilet. Like it even had a bidet in it.
Here's the view from inside.
Since I was the first to arrive the hotel owner offered me to choose my room. This is the room my colleagues from the same floor chose. The difference was that theirs had a sofa but with a smaller bathroom.
This is a picture of the street name. It struck me that it's written in English, but even in my native language I have a hard time pronouncing its name.
Now I will show you the small terrace to the dining room. It's really small, but when you've decided to see what's in Old Town what are big terraces for.
There are lots of decorations with flowers.
The owner of the hotel is an extremely kind and warm person who strives to offer people who prefer his hotel the best. I highly recommend the hotel if you have decided to visit Plovdiv!

Thanks for such an overview. I have been in Plovdiv for a few hours last year, when I was establishing there a company. Unlucky I could not visit more. But I really loved what I saw in one of the main squares
!LUV it is a lovely place
