I am back again with something fantastic, and here's a warm welcome to my battle challenge with the theme card 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 of the Earth Splinter. 😆Are you distressed on a hill and wishing you could find a giant to help you down? well your wish is granted, as 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 is here to the rescue. This is a really interesting card with an amazing ability and I'll show you why in abit. Let us now delve deep into this giant to discover what makes him so unique. I am using a level 8 regular foil and he has a 2-melee, 3-speed, and 8-health.
Giants are massive beings with enormous strength and size crammed into a human body. They can roar like thunder, cause the earth to tremble, and partee on humans😅. Hence, this 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 has the;
STUN ability- When this Giant hits a target, it causes the target to miss it's next turn of attack.This monster card can cause great damage once engaged with a good backup team and placed in a favourable position, usually first-line.
At level 1 it is not quiet impressive, it has 1-melee attack at 1-speed, 6-health, and no ability. This melee attacker can easily be used in the second position of lineup while a more defensive card secures the first. Even at this first level, its 1-melee attack and decent health can be very useful.
level 6 this card gains 2-melee attacks at 2-speed and 7-health, as well as the Stun ability. This ability is awesome on the battle ground, and i always make sure to add a monster with it in lineup.
At Max level 10, however, this card has 3-melee attacks at 3-speeds and 9-health. At max level, this card can perform exceptionally well. While the enemy monsters will miss more attacks on you due to the stun ability, every time they miss an attack, 🍃HILL GIANT🍃, takes advantage to cause damage before the get the chance again.

You'll see from the Regular foil, that this card is super affordable to buy now with least price at 0.035$ and all time high at 0.48$.
While the Gold foil has been in demand from players in higher leagues, with the least price at 0.616$ and all time high at 2.3$.
You can buy or rent this card easily in-game SPLINTERLANDS or PEAKMONSTERS. Buying the gold foil now at this prize will be the wise thing for me to do as I am back in Gold I league now and approaching diamond.
To thoroughly make good use of 🍃HILL GIANT🍃, you'll have to level up to max, then battle your way up.
⚔️ THE BATTLE ⚔️

This was a low mana cap battle with the UNPROTECTED and TAKING SIDES rule set. Meaning all shield ability were removed from monsters, and also no neutral monsters allowed in battle.
⚔️ TEAM LINE-UP ⚔️
I thought to not show up weak, so I employed the great summoner of the Earth element, the great MYLOR CROWLING. A level 8 summoner with the supernatural ability to grant the Thorns ability to the monsters willing to fight alongside him. 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 a melee attack monster will peer perfectly with him and so will the rest team. I rented this card and It's worth it. How about the Extra Thorn ability to cause damage back at enemy? Let's attack!!!.

In front line comes the theme card, 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 is a common type card and costs 3 mana to be used in the battlefield. It’s attack type is melee, hence, can take a good amount of hits, and I placed him in front solely for this reason, as an attacking unit back with supportive monsters. It's got the STUN ability, which causes enemy to miss their next turn of attack.
|second-line||SWIFTNESS, INSPIRE||⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️||EPIC||1-MELEE,5-SPEED, 2-HEALTH|
In second line comes BROWNIE thanks to it's SWIFTNESS ability grants extra speed to all team monsters, as well as the INSPIRE which gives an extra melee attack to all melee monsters.
|fourth-line||TANK HEAL, TRAIGE||⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️||RARE||1-MAGIC,3-SPEED, 5-HEALTH|
Next comes KHMER PRINCESS a level 8 rare card. Her 'triage' is going to help heal team warrior that has taken the most damage, whereas her 'Tank heal' will help restore the health portion of 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 each round. I have employed her for this reason.
Finally in backline is this GOBLIN CHEF, a level 10 monster with the ability to cause great 'affliction' by making enemies wounds not heal, and 'poison' enemies every round of battle. An intelligent creature deserving of the title.
Without further ado, let us now enter the battleground.
- The Enemy came at me with the Earth element as well, MOTHER KHALA as Summoner. Enemy-KHMER PRINCESS in first position, and finally Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY. The enemy came with 2 cards. I've learnt never to underestimate the power of 1 or 2 monsters even against a thousand, so Let's see what happened.
Summoner MYLOR CROWLING gave all team monster the 'THORN' ability as expected.
BROWNIE gives all team monsters the 'SWIFTNESS' and 'INSPIRE' ability.
Round 1 starts with a double attack on Enemy-KHMER PRINCESS by KHMER PRINCESS and GOBLIN CHEF which affects her health -5 and leaves her poisoned.
🍃HILL GIANT🍃 immediately launches a deadly on Enemy-KHMER PRINCESS which kills her.
Round 1 ends with Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY swooping in and attacking 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 brining it's health down to 6, but he doesn't go free as 🍃HILL GIANT's🍃 'THORN' ability affects his health too.
- Round 2 starts with a '+3 TANK HEAL' to 🍃HILL GIANT's🍃 health.
Another double attack on Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY by KHMER PRINCESS and GOBLIN CHEF which affects his health -5, but not poisoned cause GOBLIN CHEF missed target.
🍃HILL GIANT🍃 immediately launches a deadly on Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY which affect it's health even more, but the enemy retaliates back and 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 health is affected, in return the thorn ability affects Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY again, -2 but he heals himself back +3.
- Round 3 starts with starts again with a '+3 TANK HEAL' to 🍃HILL GIANT's🍃 health.
🍃HILL GIANT🍃 again launches a deadly on Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY which affect it's health -3, but the Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY retaliates back and 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 health is affected, in return the thorn ability affects Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY again, -2 but he heals himself back again +3.
Now with a much more reduced health on the enemy's last standing fighter, KHMER PRINCESS and GOBLIN CHEF launch a deadly and immediately kills Enemy-PELACOR MERCENARY.
- 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 and TEAM let out a roar FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!
✅A SECOND BATTLE IN WHICH I ENGAGED 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 AGAINST 🔥FIRE SPLINTER🔥
This was a 15 mana cap battle. 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 in first position, only thing is, there was no monster with the healing or resurrection ability in lineup, so 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 sacrificed himself pretty early. It was victory because the enemy team now very weak got crushed easily, battle finished in 4 rounds.
✅A THIRD BATTLE IN WHICH I ENGAGED 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 AGAINST 🌬LIFE SPLINTER🌬
This was a 13 mana cap battle. 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 still in first position, although there was not Tank heal in this battle, there was thorns, poison and swiftness in lineup which made a huge difference coupled with 🍃HILL GIANT's🍃 Stun ability. Flawless victory. Battle finished in 2 rounds.
DO I LIKE 🍃HILL GIANT🍃?
I do like this card 🍃HILL GIANT🍃, because of it's excellent ability. The decent 3 mana cost of Hill Giant is it's strongest feature. It can be helpful as a front defense in battle with low to medium mana limits. This giant's high health bar will deflect numerous enemy attacks and buy more time for your attacking team. When placed in favourable position or backed by supporting monsters such as in both battles, it is able to cause great damage.
To be fair, I definitely am glad to have experienced it's stun ability, and would keep making use of in Earth splinter. It has pretty awesome Speed and health, that's already a slam dunk. This only demonstrates that if you play the Earth splinter and at decent mana cap, then this is a card to have on deck.
In summary the battles were exciting to watch and I will keep seeking more ways to but and max the card.
DID MY STRATEGIES WORK AND WHAT LESSONS DRAWN FROM IT?
Yes, my strategy worked very well. It was a good lineup and strategy for this battle⚔️
🍃HILL GIANT🍃 can be placed in first or second position. True that it's tank isn't huge enough for resistance but, I want this Stun ability holding off my enemies for a long a possible while i do damage. If you add monsters with interesting abilities as support, then it will be more difficult to target and kill it.
If it stuns the enemies front-line, the enemy misses it's next chance to attack; the more they attack him, they better opportunity to destroy them all easily. Hence, the 🍃HILL GIANT's🍃 STUN ability is particularly crucial to bear in mind. You can start stunning enemies from level 6, which is gold league.
From the 3 battles and my observations. These abilities will greatly help 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 and make him undefeatable in battle, especially if it's a low manna cap (12-20) which I thoroughly enjoy.
a) The THORN ability which when hit with a melee attack, does back damage to the enemy thereby weakening the enemy and MYLOR CROWLING offers that to all team monsters at only 3 mana.
b) The SWIFTNESS ability which grants all team monsters extra speed making 🍃HILL GIANT's🍃 speed point +4 and monsters like BROWNIE with just 1 mana offers that. Brownie also offers another awesome ability to help 🍃HILL GIANT🍃, the INSPIRE ability which boost him +1 melee.
c) The TANK HEAL ability which restores a portion health of the front-line monster each round. Cards like KHMER PRINCESS offers that and at low mana of 2.
👆Having Monsters that offer these 4 abilities on deck will make it almost impossible to kill 🍃HILL GIANT🍃 in front-line of battle, ensuring you Victory 85%.
I would recommend these few Lineups 💯 when confronted with low mana and favourable ruleset. I welcome your opinion, objections and recommendations to further make good use of her in comment😊
🍃HILL GIANT🍃 is no doubt a decent card. This challenge has surely exposed it's usefulness in battle.
