A warm welcome to my battle challenge with the theme card ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ of the Neutral Splinter. ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ is a decent spellcaster card with amazing abilities, not my go-to-card but it can be very useful in battle and I'll show you why in abit. The ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ is a card with MAGIC attack from the Neutral unit and it costs 4-mana to use in battle.

Let us now delve deep into this legend to discover what makes the card so unique. I am using a level 4 regular foil and she has 2-Magic, 3-speed, and 3-health.

⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ is a very powerful spellcaster whose entire lifetime is centered around practicing magic so much so that magic itself became a part of him. While he can manipulate magic to damage foes, magic burns through his veins. Upon death the radiating Mana explodes from his body, harming everyone around him. He has very useful abilities;

DISPEL ability- In battle when he hits an enemy, he removes all positive status effects on them causing great damage.

AMPLIFY ability- In battle, He increases the Magic reflect, return fire and thorns of team monsters who possess such ability.

At level 1 & 2 ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ gets 1-magic attack at 2-speed with 3-health [2-health level 1] and it also has the 'DISPEL' ability. Since it's initial level, whenever a monster with 'Dispel' ability hits a target, it clears out of all positive status effects on that enemy.

level 6 this spellsmith gets 2-magic attack at 3-speed with 3-health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. The increased magic attack will really help in gold league to finish enemy cards faster.

At Max level 8 however, ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ possesses 2-Magic attack at 3-speed with 4-health and it also gets another ability - 'REDEMPTION'. Because of the 'Redemption' ability, should he be killed in battle, he will do one damage to all enemy monsters.

⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ becomes extremely powerful when his 4-mana cost is considered and well worth it. At this maximum Level, ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ Magic attack can be increased further with magic summoners like DELWYN DRAGONSCALE , OBSIDIAN and ALRIC STORMBRINGER for extra '+1 Magic' ability.

You'll see that the regular was not too long ago in high demand from players, with the low price at 0.22$ and all time high at 0.55$. Current Rental price at Level 1 is 0.357DEC/day having 20 CP, while at max level 8, this cards rental price is 3.220DEC/day having 2,415 CP.

While for the Gold foil, the card has decent price, really affordable to buy now with least price at 2.8$ and all time high at 8.2$. Current Rental price for this gold foil starting at Level 2 is 1.326DEC/day having 500 CP, while at max level 8, this cards rental price is 40DEC/day having 11,550 CP.

You can buy or rent this card easily in-game SPLINTERLANDS or PEAKMONSTERS. Buying the level 3 regular foil now is sorta affordable as I have been shuttling between diamond and champions league, never know how the market turns out.

This was a low mana cap battle with interesting rule sets;

STRATEGY:

ALRIC STORMBRINGER is one of my favorite Water Splinter summoners because I like to use a powerful magic attack against my enemy, something that can quickly deplete their life points so that the battle lasts a few rounds but not too long. For this Battle I engaged ALRIC STORMBRINGER and his inherent ability to grant a +1 magic attack point, as my theme card ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ is of this type. I reasoned that the ruleset will make my enemy pick loads of melee attack, so I decided to come with magic which imho is stronger.

STRATEGY:

A 6 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ regular foil chicken with the 'Enraged' ability. It's melee attack is lethal and engaged it to sorta serve as a distraction by taking the first hit for my second line of attack to gain some advantage. This chicken can absorb a few hit and also cause damage if lucky.

STRATEGY:

A 4-star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ legendary DOCTOR BLIGHT who is deserving of his title because of his strong dark occult magic and diverse set of abilities. He causes great 'affliction' by making enemies wounds not heal, and then 'poison' enemies every round of battle. His 'camouflage ability' makes it impossible to attack and kill except if placed in first position. He goes on to 'Scavenges' for himself the health of every fallen monsters.

STRATEGY:

TORRENT FIEND is a zero-cost unit positioned to deal with cunning enemy monsters. This card can take a blow or two if lucky. but, I employed it only for this purpose, not as an attacking unit per say, though it does have one melee attack.

STRATEGY:

An 8-star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ CRUSTACEAN KING is a very useful card in battle mainly because of it's 'Tank heal ability ' which will help restore the health of the frontline monster each round and then 'protect' all it's team by giving them double armor. It is advised to place range attackers at the back, hence, this is unconventional to place this card where i put it, but assuming my enemy comes with sneak attack monsters, i wouldn't want them to kill it so soon.

STRATEGY:

Next comes the theme card, a 6-star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rare spell caster deserving of his title because of his strong dark magic and decent abilities. He 'Amplifies' the magic reflect, thorns and return fire ability of his team warriors by +1 and then 'Dispels ' by removing all positive status effects on enemy therefore causing great damage. IMHO the most suited position for this card is between 4th-6th position.

STRATEGY:

In final position comes the rare 6-star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ICE PIXIE who can deal considerable magic damage to the enemy. ICE PIXIE mainly as a magic attacker that can attack from any position. Her 'Flying' ability will destroy non-flying melee and ranged attack enemies, while her 'Shatter' ability will destroy enemy armor when she attacks.

⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ and Team are ready to engage in battle. Without further ado, let us now enter the battleground.

• My Enemy used the Water Unit too, BORTUS as Summoner. ENEMY-SPINEBACK TURTLE in first position, ENEMY-TIDE BITER in second, ENEMY-CRUSTACEAN KING in third, and ENEMY-PELACOR BANDIT in last position. Came at me with double Melee attack monsters, which I expected and well, nice team line-up. Just as i expected, sneak monster at the back and more melee attacker. Let's see how that went🤞.

• Round 1 started, SUMMONER ALRIC STROMBRINGER grants my magic dragon the '+1 Magic' ability.

• ENEMY SUMMONER-BORTUS takes away the +1 magic boost from my enemies '-1 Magic'.

🗯"ouch! Although no much damage, all even now"🗯

• THE CRUSTACEAN KINGS ON BOTH TEAMS offer the 'protect ability' to monsters as expected.

• The round started with attacks from the enemy against my backline monsters, but then ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ swoops in and takes out ENEMY-CRUSTACEAN KING thereby removing their defenses and exposed for great damage✅. FURIOUS CHICKEN strikes at ENEMY-SPINEBACK TURTLE , but unfortunately gets killed by the enemy's thorn.

• ENEMY-SPINEBACK TURTLE on a rampage to destroy my front-line monsters.

• ENEMY-PELACOR BANDIT sneaks, attacks and kills ICE PIXIE. On seeing that ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ attacks and weakens ENEMY-SPINEBACK TURTLE, giving room for DOCTOR BLIGHT to swoop, poison and kill it.

⚔️ROUND 3-4⚔️

• ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ again attacks and weakens ENEMY-TIDE BITER, giving room for DOCTOR BLIGHT to swoop, poison and finally CRUSTACEAN KING taking the honors to kill it.

• ENEMY-PELACOR BANDIT attacks DOCTOR BLIGHT -2, to end the whole charade, ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ strikes and weakens ENEMY-PELACOR BANDIT, giving room for DOCTOR BLIGHT to swoop, poison and kill him instantly.

⚔️FINAL RESULT⚔️

DO I LIKE THE ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ UNIT AND WHAT I WOULD'VE DONE DIFFERENTLY?

I'm not so sure if i do like ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️, although even at just level 1 this monster has a nice ability, decent health and speed to survive enemy attack. When placed in favourable position or backed by supporting monsters such as in this Battle, it is able to cause great damage and last longer in battle as we saw.

Being a magic spellcaster that's already a slam dunk. This only demonstrates that if you play any splinter at all and at low mana cap of 12-25, then this is a card is decent to have on deck.

If there's anything I would've done different was prolly adding a more resistance melee front line instead of a sacrificial ones, but mana cost was low, hence in higher cost mana cap battles, i will have that in mind.

When I return to the diamond league, I will undoubtedly use this card, because it has the Redemption ability at this level, and whenever this monster dies in battle, it deals one damage to all enemy cards. That's fantastic! So, I believe it will be an excellent addition to my collection, bringing me more victories than ever before when used on the battlefield. The battle was exciting to watch and I will keep seeking more ways to engage, and hopefully afford to own this ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️.

DID MY STRATEGY/TEAM-LINEUP WORK?

Yes, my strategy was very effective. This battle's lineup and strategy was simple. Although I admit it was a bit risky, after seeing the battle's rule set and my enemy's most used units, I was 95% certain that the enemy would pick up melee monsters.

This is why I concentrated abit on the magic attack to support my theme card. Also, as previously stated, this demonstrates that the strength and power of magic attackers like ⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ are not solely based on brute force; therefore, if we think strategically and properly manage the mana available for each battle, the victory rate will undoubtedly exceed 85%.

⚗️VENARI SPELLSMITH⚗️ is no doubt a decent card, and this battle challenge has surely exposed his usefulness in battle.
